After an overnight stay in hospital forced her to cancel her trip to Northern Ireland earlier this week, it’s been reported that Queen Elizabeth will be cutting back on her workload amid concerns for her health.

Sir Edward Young, the 95-year-old monarchs’ private secretary, is said to be under pressure to reduce her diary to only key events like her Platinum Jubilee to celebrate 70 years as Queen next year.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, there are also plans in place for the Queen to be accompanied by other members of her family when she attends royal duties so that if she takes ill the event will not have to be cancelled.
