Pubs and clubs giant G1 axe Scots staff for second time during coronavirus

hospitality giant G1 have been made redundant for the second time amid the coronavirus crisis. In a letter sent by the company's CEO, workers affected were told their services are no longer going to be required because of the chaos caused by the virus on the struggling hospitality sector.

The firm cited losses of over £25m in revenue since the start of the outbreak as they justified their decision. The company also claim they have had to fund over £1m in costs per month while making no income.G1 Group is one of Scotland's largest hospitality firms, with multiple live music venues, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels across the country.
