Progress made on reopening of indoor dining, RAI says

The Restaurants Association of Ireland claims the hospitality industry has made 'further progress' towards reopening indoor dining, following a meeting between representatives of the sector and senior Government officials.

In a statement, the RAI said that more work is required over the weekend, in order for legislation to be brought forward to put the reopening of indoor hospitality on a legal footing.

It said there will be a phased approach to reopening - with ventilation, CO2 monitors, work safety protocols and reopening guidelines developed for indoor hospitality.

The association said the HSA , EHO , Fáilte Ireland and Gardaí will play a roll in regulating and inspecting the new protocols. "Final details to be worked on over the weekend
