Police: Man shot with assault rifle in Kensington; suspect sought

KENSINGTON - Authorities are searching for a suspect who they say used an assault rifle during a shooting Wednesday night in Kensington.Police say the shooting on the 3000 block of Waters Street just before midnight.A man was reportedly shot in the chest and rushed to Temple University Hospital.

His condition is unknown at this time.Police have not reported any arrests. No word on what sparked the shooting.This shooting comes shortly after it was reported that Philadelphia ranks second in the nation in homicides.
