PHILADELPHIA - A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of Francis "Frankie" Decero, a Philadelphia man whose body was found shot, stabbed and burned in May, police say.Joseph Rodriguez, 22, has been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Decero, who was reported missing from his home on April 26. Surveillance video obtained by FOX 29 shows him double-parking his Jeep near the intersection of 13th and Biglore Streets before he gets into another car that drove off. Decero’s Jeep was located somewhere different with no gas, and he was nowhere to be found. On May 4, officers found an unresponsive male in the area of 31st and Tasker Streets after a group of juveniles said they saw the body in the brush on Douglas Street. Police told FOX 29’s Kelly Rule that they were investigating if Decero was tortured because his body was found shot, stabbed, beaten and burned. Investigators originally followed a lead that Decero might have been targeted over recent lottery winnings, according to a source.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Radnor Township Police Department is investigating a series of catalytic converter thefts in the Wayne section of the area, the department announced on Twitter. According to police, the most recent incident happened on Monday around 5:18 a.m. Authorities say an alert resident from the 100 block of Poplar Avenue reported seeing two men in gray sweatshirts remove the catalytic converter from his vehicle. Home surveillance captured from a nearby ring camera captured the car the suspects are believed to be in, a white Ford with black rims. RELATED HEADLINESAnyone with information or additional video footage is urged to contact police at 610-688-5603.

PHILADELPHIA - A woman is in critical condition after police say she was shot by her husband Monday morning.The 62-year-old woman was reportedly shot twice inside a home on the 4500 block of Uber Street in the Logan section of Philadelphia.She was rushed to the hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition.A 63-year-old man was also found in the home with a gunshot wound, according to police. He was pronounced dead on the scene.Police believe the man shot his wife before taking his own life.This is a developing story.

Police officers had to self-isolate after a rowdy prisoner claimed she was suffering from Covid-19.

PHILADELPHIA - A man was fatally shot Sunday night after visiting his sick mother, police say. Authorities say the incident happened on the 3300 block of Smedley Street in the city's North Philadelphia neighborhood just before 10:30 p.m. According to police, officers with the 39th District responded to several calls reporting gunshots. When police arrived on scene, they found a 40-year-old man on the ground next to his vehicle with the door open, per officials. Authorities say the man was shot at least one time in the head and he was bleeding heavily. Officers rushed the man to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m., police say. Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small says investigators know at least two shots were fired from a large caliber semiautomatic weapon. Investigators also believe the shooter was standing very close to the 40-year-old victim at the time of the shooting, according to police. "This is a tragic story because this 40-year-old does not live here," Small said. "He comes here and takes care of his mother who is sick, and he comes here on a regular basis [to] take care of his mother.

Chinese authorities arrested nine people on suspicion of violently assaulting several women at a restaurant after surveillance footage of the attack sparked widespread outrage.Footage from a barbecue restaurant in Tangshan in northern Hebei province, time stamped 2:40 a.m. Friday, showed one of the men approaching a table where a party of four women were seated and placing his hand on a woman’s back.She rebuffed him several times before he flew into a rage and slapped her, prompting her to fight back.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say two daytime shootings in West Philadelphia have left two men in critical condition Saturday.A 28-year-old man was reportedly shot five times on the 400 block of North Daggett Street around 2 p.m. He was struck once in the arm, once in the stomach and three times in the back.He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition.Less than an hour later, police say another man is in critical condition after being shot about 4 miles away on the 1700 block of Wilton Street.

He later died after undergoing surgery at Paoli Hospital.Witnesses told police that two men started an argument with the man and his cousin.

WILMINGTON, Del. - Delaware State Police say a disguised man stole an armored truck in a carjacking heist Friday morning.The man was wearing a mask and a dark blue Garda uniform when he allegedly carjacked a Garda armored truck on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington.Two female employees were leaving Pabian Properties when they were assaulted by the armed suspect, according to police. He was reportedly able to disarm one of the female victims.Police say he also used a stun gun on one victim before fleeing in the armored truck.

WILDWOOD, N.J. - Police say Good Samaritans rushed to try and rescue two people at a Wildwood beach earlier this week.One man, 45-year-old Williams Pathy, was reportedly found floating in the water about 100 yards from the shore near Youngs Avenue Wednesday evening. He was pulled from the water by two swimmers.Police responded to find several people rendering aid to Pathy, who was said to be unconscious and unresponsive.

LEVITTOWN, Pa. - A Pennsylvania man shot and killed a neighbor's American Bulldog that he claims attacked his German Shepard during a morning walk, according to police. Officers from the Bristol Township Police Department were called to a home on Middlewood Lane Friday morning for reports of a dog shot by a neighbor. Police found a white American Bulldog shot to death on the front yard of a residence. Police say a man claimed that he and his German Shepard were walking past a home when the Bulldog escaped the yard and started to attack his dog.The man, according to police, is legally licensed to carry and fired one shot that fatally struck the Bulldog.No arrests were reported immediately following the incident. 

PHILADELPHIA - Another busy weekend on South Street is expected in the wake of a deadly mass shooting that killed three and injured nearly a dozen. Philadelphia police and city officials say they're upping security measures to help prevent another tragedy from unfolding. The Philadelphia Police Department said it had 70 officers patrolling South Street last Saturday when it's believed a fistfight escalated to gunfire.

PHILADELPHIA - An afternoon shooting in Philadelphia claimed the life of a teenage boy and injured a teenage girl, according to police. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 800 block of Bridge Street around 4 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Police found a 14-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wound to the chest.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man was among two people charged for allegedly trafficking nearly 60 guns into Philadelphia from South Carolina, according to federal authorities.United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced charges Friday against Terrance Darby, 41, and Ontavious Plumer, 32.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a man who they believe exited a car on a Philadelphia street corner and fired deadly gunshots at a man in broad daylight. The Philadelphia Police Department shared video of the brazen shooting that happened in late May on 5800 block of North 16th Street.Video shared by the department shows the wanted suspect dressed in dark clothes exit a dark gray Dodge Journey and run towards the street corner raising a gun.Police say he fired at a 33-year-old man, striking him fatally in the head, and sprinted back to the Dodge. The vehicle used in the deadly shooting is believed to have a license plate number of LRG-1278, according to police. Anyone with information on the shooting should contact Philadelphia police. The city is offering a $20k reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

UPPER DARBY, Pa. - Authorities in Delaware County on Thursday asked the public's help in solving a 2014 cold case about a missing mother who seemingly disappeared without a trace.Amanda DeGuio disappeared when she was 24-years-old. DeGuio was last seen at her home in Upper Darby on June 3, 2014. She left without her cell phone, credit cards, or a change of clothes. She doesn’t drive and no one knows how she left.The Upper Darby Police Department, joined by DeGuio's family, held a press conference Thursday with no update on their search.

CAMDEN, N.J. - A New Jersey man admitted Thursday he illegally sold unregistered pesticides as a COVID-19 defense to government and municipal entities including the U.S. Marshals Service and the Department of Veterans Affairs.Paul Andrecola pleaded guilty in federal court in Camden to one count each of wire fraud, selling an unregistered pesticide and presenting false claims.According to a criminal complaint, the 63-year-old Burlington County man made and sold pesticides that weren’t registered with the EPA as required, and weren’t on the EPA’s list of products deemed to be effective disinfectants against COVID-19.Andrecola and others put another company’s EPA registration numbers on his products to hide the fact that they weren't registered, according to the complaint.Federal authorities alleged Andrecola made 150 sales of the unregistered pesticides between March 2020 and May 2021 and made more than $2.7 million.
