WEST PHILADELPHIA - A 21-year-old man is recovering after he was shot in the neck and back in West Philadelphia.Officials say Philadelphia police were called to the 200 block of North Felton Street Friday night, just after 7:30, on a reported shooting.Officers found the man with gunshot wounds to his neck and back.They rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed as critical, but stable.Police are investigating the shooting.

SKYFOX over the scene of the deadly fatal January fire in Fairmount that claimed the lives of 12 people, including eight children.  PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia fire officials say they are frustrated with the number of severe and fatal fires happening across the city. Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel expressed his frustration at a press conference detailing a fatal fire that took the lives of four, including three children, on Sunday afternoon. "Right now we are frustrated and we are mourning," he said as he explained the residence had no working smoke detectors. Thiel says before Sunday's fire, there were 17 fatal fires in 2022 so far, including the fatal Fairmount fire that claimed the life of 12 people, including eight children. Additionally, since January 1, 38 people were injured in fire-related incidents and more than 312 families were displaced, Thiel said. "It's just too much" Thiel said as he explained how firefighters are frustrated. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESHe's also encouraging everyone to make sure their smoke detectors are working properly and be aware of safety tips that can save their lives in case of an emergency. "The best fire is the one that never starts," he said. You can request a smoke alarm through Philly311 and the Fire Department will come install one in your home. To qualify, you must live in a one or two-family home occupied by the owner.

Police: 4 juveniles arrested after crashing stolen car into T-Mobile store in North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA - Police say four juveniles are in custody after being accused of crashing a stolen car into a T-Mobile store in North Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon. According to authorities, a man reported his 2013 Grey Honda Accord stolen on the 1200 block of E Hunting Park Avenue on Friday around 4:50 p.m. Authorities say around 5:19 on Saturday, officers received a radio call that the owner had located his stolen car and began following it. Officers say they saw the man following his car at 5th and Lycoming Streets and they attempted to stop it. ___MORE LOCAL HEADLINES The stolen car managed to get away, but officers saw the same vehicle crashed into the front of a T-Mobile store located at 700 East Hunting Park Avenue a short time later, according to police. Authorities say two T-Mobile employees were injured by broken glass. AdvertisementFour juveniles were arrested shortly after the incident and the car was recovered and towed, according to authorities.
