ATHENS, Ga. - A decades-long investigation into the stabbing death of a baby boy found inside a trash can at a University of Georgia residence hall has finally come to a close.On Jan.

8, 1996, police say a custodian discovered the body of a newborn boy and placenta in the first-floor bathroom of Oglethorpe House dormitory.

The child reportedly had been stabbed multiple times after birth before being hidden in a trash can.For 27 years, police have worked to identify the mother of the boy, but had come up short.

Now due to new DNA technology, investigators say they were successfully able to connect the child with a former UGA student.FILE - On Jan.

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for missing Ajah Lloyd (left) who was last seen with Kadijah McKee (right) in Philadelphia.  (Pennsylvania State Police)PHILADELPHIA - Officials from Pennsylvania State Police and the Philadelphia Police Department are asking for the public's help to find a missing two-month-old baby. Authorities have also identified a suspect, 26-year-old Kadijah McKee, who offered to watch two-month-old Ajah Lloyd while shopping at the fashion district. Police say McKee was last seen heading north on 16th Street towards Lehigh Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. According to officials, the suspect borrowed her cousin's car saying she would leave a Chevrolet Malibu in exchange for it. The vehicle is a black 2003 Nissan Maxima with blacked-out tinted windows and a Dallas Cowboys sticker on the rear, and the Pennsylvania tag LZJ-0488, authorities say. The car's owner and the baby's mother looked for the Malibu in the location McKee said she would leave it but did not find it, Philadelphia Police say. According to law enforcement, a witness told authorities they saw the suspect sleeping in a U-haul truck parked on the street. Officials say McKee has not responded to calls or social media messages. The baby was last seen wearing a gray sweater with a bear on it, pink tights, a pink and white headband with a flower, and pink and white socks.

Reginald Maclaren (Photo courtesy of Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office) An 81-year-old man is accused of killing his wife and daughter with an ax after police say he confessed to the murders, The Denver Post reported. Reginald Maclaren was arrested and is facing a first-degree murder charge. He contacted the Englewood Police Department in Colorado to inform the agency that his wife and adult daughter were murdered. Maclaren told authorities he believed he knew the suspect and a hammer was used in the attack, according to a release from Englewood police. Officers arrived at the scene and found Maclaren inside the apartment.  While in the home, police found two people in large trash cans on the floor of the living room/kitchen area.Police said both women had substantial injuries and had died. Englewood police noted during their investigation they determined Maclaren’s wife and daughter were murdered with the ax, and one victim was dismembered with a saw. The victims were identified in an arrest affidavit as 70-year-old Bethany Maclaren and 35-year-old Ruth Jennifer Maclaren, The Denver Post noted. Citing the arrest affidavit, The Denver Post reported Maclaren told investigators that he recently lost his job at which he worked with people who are homeless.
