PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead Saturday afternoon after police say he was the victim of a daytime shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.Police responded after a man was reportedly shot inside the front entryway of a home on 7300 block of Sanderling Place around 12:30 p.m.The 54-year-old victim suffered three gunshot wounds: the chest, shoulder and arm.He was transported to Penn Presbyterian where he was pronounced dead.Police say a weapon was recovered from the victim, but no arrest has been made.

TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey Police say a four-month investigation led to the "dismantling" of a human trafficking network and the arrest of six suspects.Eleven female victims, including at least one juvenile, were smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico and forced into prostitution, according to police.The investigation began in January when officials reportedly obtained information that a juvenile was being trafficked out of a residence in Trenton.

Man wanted for theft in Point Breeze. PHILADELPHIA - Surveillance video caught a man in the middle of crime on a Philadelphia street in broad daylight, according to police.Police say the man broke into the window of a parked van on the 1800 block of Washington Avenue last month.The suspect is seen entering the van, removing what appears to be tools, then loading them into his pickup truck.

FRANKFORD - A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in a late May homicide in Philadelphia’s Frankford section.Philadelphia Police’s Homicide Unit is seeking information on the identities and whereabouts of four men suspected in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man near Harbison and Tulip Streets in late May.Authorities say the shooting happened May 31, a little after 1:00 in the morning, on the 5500 block of Tulip Street. The 19-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

PHILADELPHIA - The family of a Philadelphia man who police say died after being attacked by a group of young teens is searching for answers in the disturbing assault that was caught on video. Authorities say 72-year-old Samuel Lambert was attacked by at least two teens in a group of seven on the 2100 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

BIG LAKE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Big Lake police are warning parents to monitor their children’s cell phone activity after they say an 18-year-old man took a Greyhound bus from Chicago to Big Lake, equipped with gifts and flowers to meet an 11-year-old girl.According to the Big Lake Police Department, over the weekend officers responded to a report of a suspicious man/unwanted party at a residence. Through an investigation, authorities learned the 18-year-old man showed up at the residence with flowers and gifts for the homeowner's 11-year-old daughter.

LOGAN - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that critically wounded a 30-year-old man.Officials say 35th District officers were called to the 1200 block of West Wingohocking Street, around 5:15 p.m., in Philadelphia's Logan section, on the report of a person shot.Witnesses described a black SUV idling on West Wingohocking about 20 minutes. One of the witnesses called police about the idling vehicle.At about that time, the vehicle moved forward at a slow rate of speed and within 200 feet or so, sideswiped a parked vehicle.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say two mourners were shot and killed while riding in a funeral procession for a Philadelphia homicide victim Friday afternoon.Officers from the Upper Darby Police Department were called to the area of Marshall Road and Powell Lane around 1 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Prosecutors in Philadelphia have charged a man in a Fourth of July road rage shooting that happened just blocks away from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office charged 29-year-old Damon Hudgins with several offenses, including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats. According to investigators, Hudgins is accused of starting a traffic altercation with two brothers by beeping at their car and pulling in front of their vehicle on the 200 block of Market Street.Hudgins, according to police, exited his car and chucked a can of soda at the brother's vehicle.Police say both of the brothers then got out of their car to confront Hudgins, who fired one shot that hit one of the brothers in the leg.

PHILADELPHIA - The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information on a group of suspects wanted in connection with the beating of an older adult who later died. According to police, on June 24 at 2:38 a.m. a 72-year-old man was attacked on the 2100 block of Cecil B.

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are searching for a group of teenagers caught on video attacking a driver before stealing his car in Olney. According to police, the incident happened on Tuesday on the 600 block of West Fisher Avenue in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood. Authorities say the victim was sitting inside his 2007 Hyundai Elantra when he was approached by the group. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe group began to assault the man and he was able to get out of the car with minor injuries, according to investigators. Police say the group then drove off in the man's car towards 10th street. Video surveillance released by Philadelphia police appears to show several teens surrounding the victim's car and two of them appear to hit and kick the victim. Authorities have not specifically said the number of suspects they are looking for, but they did specify the group was comprised of teenagers. Police say no weapons were used during the robbery and anyone with information is urged to call police or submit an anonymous tip.

PHILADELPHIA - Two men are dead after they were shot at close range in West Oak Lane, police say. According to authorities,  police received 911 calls for a report of a shooting on the 1900 block of 68th Street just before 11 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - It's 10 o'clock, do you know where your children are? Starting Thursday night in Philadelphia, you'll have to.In an effort to keep the city's youth safe from gun violence and other crimes, the city has imposed a 10 p.m. summer curfew for kids under 18-years-old. The summer curfew starts a half an hour earlier for kids under 14-years-old, and will remain in effect until September 29th. Philadelphia City Councilmember Katherine Gilmore Richardson spearheaded the effort and said it's only a modification to a curfew the city has had in place since 1977. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe tweaks include tighter curfew times and removal of penalties and fines.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have identified a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at an office building in Center City. Police say Willie L. Harris, 43, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman Tuesday afternoon in an office building on the 200 block of South 13th Street. Investigators believe the suspect went to the 8th floor of the building and entered an unlocked office just after 2 p.m. The 22-year-old victim was alone in the office because her co-worked stepped out to get lunch, according to police. Police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a 22-year-old inside an office building in Center City Tuesday afternoon.Investigators say the suspect demanded the victim stay seated as he rummaged through the office.

Wagner Tejeda-Pena, 24, is wanted for allegedly shooting a 76-year-old man who was out on his routine morning walk in Philadelphia in June 2021.  PHILADELPHIA - Police have announced the name of a homicide suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Philadelphia. Authorities say 24-year-old Wagner Tejeda-Pena is wanted for the murder of 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, who was found shot once in the head near his driveway in the alleyway behind L and Claridge Streets in late June. Authorities say a man, identified by family members as 76-year-old Loi Nguyen, was shot in the head on his routine morning walk. Nguyen is remembered by neighbors for his friendliness.According to police, Ngueyn was out for his routine morning walk in his neighborhood when he was shot unprovoked. The incident was captured on surveillance video and footage from a neighbor is believed to show Tejeda-Pena running down an alleyway towards Hunting Park after the shooting. Police say the suspect is also wanted for an aggravated assault on the 1200 block of East Luzerne Street that took place about 15 minutes before the deadly shooting.According to authorities, Tejeda-Pena pulled out a handgun on two people and pulled the trigger several times, but the gun malfunctioned and did not fire.

CAMDEN - New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy this week signed seven new bills into law aimed at curtailing gun violence, including legislation to allow the state attorney general to pursue lawsuits against the firearm industry.One measure requires safety training to get a firearm purchasers permit, and another bans .50-caliber weapons.

MARPLE TWP, Pa. - Authorities in Delaware County are searching for two people accused of stealing an elderly woman's wallet at a local grocery store and buying thousands in gift cards.The alleged theft happened July 4th in the parking lot of the Giant supermarket on West Chester Pike, according to the Marple Township Police Department. Investigators say the pair distracted the elderly victim, then stole her wallet and immediately bought over $2,000 in Visa gift cards from a nearby CVS. Police shared pictures of the suspects and said they were spotted leaving the Giant parking lot in a dark-colored Nissan. Police shared photos of two people suspected of swiping an elderly woman's wallet in the parking lot of a Giant supermarket in Delaware County. HINESVILLE, Ga. - The high price of fuel has caused a lot of pain for drivers across the country, so one Georgia gas station gave back to the community on the Fourth of July with heavily discounted gas.On Monday, the A to Z Food Mart in Hinesville, Georgia dropped the price to less than $2 a gallon - less than half the average price in the Peach State, WTOC reported.People lined up around the block and waited for hours to fill up at the Chevron gas station off of West Oglethorpe Parkway. "Everyone’s wallet’s taking a hit right now in 2022, so the least we can do as a locally, independently owned convenient store is give back for the community," Ravi Patel, the owner of the gas station, told WTOC.The sale of gas lasted for just three hours. In that time, Patel estimated he lost around $12,000.But Patel says it's worth the price to see smiles on his customers' faces.According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of unleaded gas in Georgia is $4.26 - around half a dollar less than the national average of $4.752 a gallon.Georgia's price is around two cents less than Wednesday, 10 cents less than a week ago, seven cents less than a month ago, and around $1.30 more than the same time in 2021.The most expensive gas in the state is in Atlanta, Hinesville-Fort Stewart, and Athens.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia teenager is facing charges after prosecutors say he fired an illegally owned gun several times into the air on Fourth of July. According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, 18-year-old Jeremy Texidor posted video of himself on social media firing the gun into the air on the 3500 block of North Mascher Street in Philadelphia's Fairhill section. Authorities gave no indication that the arrest of Texidor is in any way linked to the 4th of July firework show shooting on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway that left two officers injured.

Indiana police released dramatic bodycam video showing officers catching multiple children and an adult who were forced to jump from a second-story window after a fire trapped them inside their apartment on Sunday.Officers responded around 1 a.m. to a structure fire in the 600 block of Walnut Street in Madison, where they found multiple people trapped in an upstairs apartment and the staircase leading outside engulfed in flames, the Madison Police Department said.Harrowing bodycam video showed a group of officers below the building’s second-story window, urging the children and an adult female to jump into their arms."Just jump! TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey State Police announce arrests in a reported human trafficking ring, operating out of Trenton. Officials announced the arrest of eight individuals Wednesday, along with the dismantling of the ring, as a part of a four-month investigation.In January, according to authorities, detectives with the State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit received information about a juvenile who had been trafficked from a residence on Hudson Street, in Trenton.A search warrant was executed and, in the process, detectives found two female victims in the residence.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say one man is dead and another was injured in a shooting in Kensington on Wednesday night. According to authorities, SEPTA and Philadelphia police officers responded to the 600 block of East Lippincott Street in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. Officials say a 23-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and legs. SEPTA police transported the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m. Another victim, a 40-year-old man, arrived at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the back, according to authorities. Police say he was treated and released from the hospital.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after he was shot in North Philadelphia on Thursday, according to police. Authorities say officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting on the 2800 block of 6th Street around 2:40 a.m. Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum told reporters that while on the way, officers received notification that an injured man was on the highway. According to police, the officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and rushed him to Temple Hospital. The man is currently in critical condition, according to Rosenbaum. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe investigation is still in the preliminary phase, but authorities said blood and shell casings were found at the scene. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in Kensington that injured two people. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the shooting took place just before 1 a.m. on Thursday near E Orleans Street and Kensington Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and found a 17-year-old girl who was shot two times in the lower back and once in the leg, according to Small.

PHILADELPHIA - After the Fourth of July shooting on the parkway, city officials said that they will not scale back events in the city, but instead, will focus on increasing security. FOX 2 - A Detroit police officer and a suspect have both been shot and killed near Joy Road and Marlowe Street Wednesday night. Police were responding to reports of the suspect shooting indiscriminately, using a Draco assault rifle - and the officer who was fatally wounded was among the first to the scene. His partner returned fire and fatally shot the suspect."It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform our department and our community that we lost a hero today," said Detroit Police Chief James White.

PHILADELPHIA - As investigators continue to probe a shooting at a 4th of July fireworks show in Philadelphia that left two police officers hurt, one of the injured officers said he feels grateful that his injuries weren't far worse than they could have been. Officer Sergio Diggs, a 14-year member of the Philadelphia Police Department, was assigned to highway patrol on Independence Day. As a large crowd gathered on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for 4th of July fireworks, Diggs and Montgomery County deputy John Foster were struck by gunfire. A massive police response swarmed the 2500 block of Spring Garden Street as onlookers ran for safety.

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of one man in West Oak Lane on Wednesday night. Authorities say a man was shot inside his car on the 7400 block of Gilbert Street around 8 p.m. Witnesses say the shooter walked right up to the driver's side door of the victim's GMC Denali and fired multiple shots.The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have arrested a man accused of opening fire on a Philadelphia bar after being kicked out, killing a young woman who was inside the building.Police on Wednesday arrested Anthony Nelson for the shooting death of 21-year-old Jailene Holton on June 28th at Philly Bar and Restaurant. Authorities say Nelson, a Philadelphia resident, was taken into custody in Atlantic City and is facing several charges, including murder.Investigators believe Nelson was among a group of men who fought with a bouncer after being told they could not use a pool table because a league was playing.MORE: Man kicked out of bar in NE Philly fires 15 shots at building, killing woman inside, police say | Uncle of woman killed in Philadelphia bar shooting speaks out: 'When are people going to get fed up?'Philadelphia Police Inspector Scott Small told reporters at the scene that when the group was kicked out of the bar one of the men retrieved a gun from a vehicle.More than a dozen shots were fired at the front of the bar from less than 200 feet away, according to investigators. Holton was struck in the head during the barrage of bullets and later died at Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital, police said. A second victim was also injured by broken glass and treated at the hospital. The uncle of Jailene Holton, who was fatally shot while with friends at a bar in Northeast Philadelphia, speaks with FOX 29's Steve Keeley.Family members say Holton was the designated driver the night of the shooting and only planned on being at the bar for 20 minutes. "When are people going to get fed up with this reckless shooting in the city?"
