Pitlochry businesses claim timber planter boxes placed by the council over parking spaces are an “eyesore” and an “unjustified” hindrance to getting around.
Wooden boxes have been installed by Perth and Kinross Council as a ‘Spaces for People’ COVID-19 distancing precaution. But the move is understood to be against the wishes of many people in the town.
Businesspeople in Pitlochry had previously been unhappy about cones and plastic crowd barriers placed since the autumn along the main Atholl Road to keep the public spaced out according to government guidelines.
