Piers Morgan has revealed he's "worried" about Queen Elizabeth II.The 56-year-old broadcaster is currently in Australia and on Thursday, appeared on the country's The Today Show where he was asked whether he was concerned for the 95-year-old monarch following her coronavirus diagnosis. In response, Piers confirmed that he was anxious for the ageing royal ahead of her Jubilee celebrations this Spring.

Piers said: "I am worried about the Queen."I've been worried about her ever since [Prince] Phillip died. "She's 95 years old.

Nearly 96. Her mom lived to 101 but didn't have any of the pressures that the Queen's had."Adding that he thought losing her consort of many years had been "unbelievably tough", Piers stated a number of factors which he believed had added stress to the Queen. These included the Prince Andrew scandal and the royal racism claims made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their bombshell Oprah interview last year.Piers said, tied in with her age and Covid scare, it was a "worrying time" for Her Majesty. He added: "I think that the antics of Meghan and Harry have been a constant irritation that's been damaging."All the smearing about racism in the palace and so on has really been damaging in the commonwealth and that's hurt the Queen's reputation, the monarchy's reputation."I think the Andrew scandal has been monumentally damaging. "For the Queen's son to have to pay someone millions of dollars to silence them in a sex abuse case I think is completely shameful, has heaped more problems on the Queen, and then she gets Covid."Piers concluded his interview by saying he was a huge fan of Elizabeth and that he'd "had terrier dogs that had yapped less than Harry and Meghan".His comments follow the broadcaster.

War in Ukraine is reaching a stalemate, experts say. Here’s what that could mean
Ukraine is developing into a prolonged stalemate, which experts predict will be devastating to the forces on both sides of the conflict as well as to the Ukrainian people.Russia’s unexpected failures on the battlefield have led to a downward spiral in morale amongst its troops that stands in stark contrast to the Ukrainians, according to the latest assessments, who have managed to hold back Russian advances and have even managed to regain territory in recent days.“The Russian commanders have really set their troops up for failure by designing a very stupid invasion and executing it very badly,” said Fred Kagan, a senior fellow and director of the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.“The ineffectiveness of the campaign is so clear, and the ferociousness of the Ukrainian defence is so obvious … (that) it’s created an equalizer where neither side can move much from where they are now.” How the war in Ukraine stands a month after Russia’s invasion — and what may be next In both his remarks to Global News and an assessment published this week by the Institute for the Study of War, Kagan makes clear a stalemate does not mean the war is over, or that its outcome is certain. Either side could still win, he says — though victory will come at a very high cost.“The damage and devastation to Ukrainian cities is likely to increase even in a period of stalemate,” he said. But he also echoed comments from U.S.

Queen's Covid battle is reminder of 'cold hard reality' for royal family's situation
The Queen's Covid diagnosis has forced the Royal Family to face the 'cold hard reality' of their precarious situation, an expert has claimed. In one of the most tumultuous periods for the Queen and fellow royals in living memory, the family has had to absorb Harry and Meghan quitting, the death of Prince Phillip, and more recently the allegations made against Prince Andrew. And according to Royal expert Daniela Elser, the latest news that the Queen has Covid will make projecting stability to the British public an even harder job.Following the Queen's diagnosis, Buckingham Palace put out a short statement, that many including Daniela Elser took umbrage with.It read: "Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid.“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines."The brevity of the statement rankled many, and writing in NewsAu, Elsner delivered her riposte. She said: "Buckingham Palace might be resolutely intent on projecting an image of a united royal family cheerily getting on with the job – but that blithe optimism looks like it’s increasingly flying in the face of cold hard reality."The commentator added that the short statement over the monarch's diagnosis was telling for the precious 'situation' the royal family is in.She added: "This whole situation highlights what is only going to become a more pressing and painful headache for the royal house, which is, how to manage news about Her Majesty’s health."The news of the Queen's illness comes just days after she was pictured using a walking stick.
