Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has has slammed Laurence Fox after the actor publicly bragged about breaking coronavirus lockdown rules. The Good Morning Britain host branded Laurence 'pathetically selfish' after he admitted to inviting a group of pals over for lunch.

Outspoken Laurence, who describes himself as a 'fierce liberal', took to Twitter on Sunday to boast about his blatant disregard for the restrictions.

The dad, who was formerly married to actress Billie Piper, told his 255,000 followers that if the NHS couldn't cope then it was not 'fit for purpose'.

He penned: "Just had a large group over to lunch and we hugged and ate and talked and put the world to rights. "It was lovely.
