Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan has hit out at his ITV co-star Denise Welch - saying her "ill-informed ramblings" about coronavirus will kill people.

The 55-year-old host slammed the Loose Women panellist as "dumb, deluded and dangerous" in a furious tweet. It came after Denise appeared on This Morning hitting out at 'scaremongering' about the coronavirus, suggesting the dangers had been exaggerated.

She also crowbarred in a dig at the Good Morning Britain host, saying: "I'm a T-list celebrity according to megastar Piers Morgan." Moments after her interview aired, Piers savaged his 62-year-old ITV stablemate on Twitter.
