It is being ditched by ITV after four series.An insider said: “Execs have decided not to commission another series of 5 Gold Rings.“It won’t be back on TV this autumn like it normally would and there are currently no plans to bring it back in the future.”5 Gold Rings has been a ratings winner for ITV since launching in 2017 and the format is a hit around the world.But the pandemic has pushed all networks to make tough decisions over which show they keep going.The insider said: “This show has been a fantastic success for ITV, but the current climate has made things very tough indeed.“TV production is extremely difficult while the virus is still around.
