PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia leaders on Wednesday will address the city's "ongoing gun violence crisis" as Philadelphia prepares to reach 500 homicides on the year.
Mayor Jim Kenney, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, and District Attorney Larry Krasner will be joined by federal and state partners at a 9:30 a.m.
press conference in City Hall. According to the latest data from the Philadelphia Police Department, the city currently sits at 499 homicides in 2021 which is a rise of 13 percent from this point last year.
