Perth and Kinross councillor who first suggested telling parents to let schools know if they were going abroad has welcomed the decision to implement the policy.

Parents will now be required to tell schools of their holiday plans in an attempt to fight the spread of the coronavirus. At a virtual meeting of Perth and Kinross Council on July 30, Strathallan SNP councillor Tom Gray told his colleagues he thought schools should be notified of any pupils returning from holiday who may need to quarantine.
