PHILADELPHIA - A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Philadelphia, police say. According to authorities, the stabbing occurred at midnight on Tuesday on the 700 block of Allegheny Avenue in the city's Kensington section. Officials say a 24-year-old male was stabbed once in the chest and transported to Temple Hospital, where he was placed in "extremely critical condition." MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say a suspect has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - Two teens were shot and injured in Philadelphia early Friday morning, police say. According to authorities, officers with the 22nd District responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 24th and Ridge Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. Police say officers found two teenagers injured by gunfire. Officials say a 16-year-old was shot in the arm and an 18-year-old was shot multiple times, including in the back. The two were taken to Temple Hospital, where the 16-year-old was placed in stable condition and the 18-year-old was placed in critical condition. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESChief Inspector Scott Small says another crime scene was found in the area of 24th and Jefferson, where five spent shell casings were discovered. Authorities also say a Hyundai sedan in the area had the passenger side rear window broken and the driver's door was open. According to investigators, the car's owner told police someone had just broken into the vehicle, which had a broken steering column. Police are investigating to see if the two injured teens were attempting to steal the car.

Police say three teenagers are injured after gunfire erupted in Brewerytown on Wednesday afternoon.  PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a triple shooting that left three teens injured in Brewerytown on Wednesday afternoon. At around 2:35 p.m., police say they responded to the 2800 block of West Oxford Street for reports that three people had been shot.Upon arrival, responding officers say they located three teenagers suffering gunshot wounds. Police say the first victim, a 16-year-old boy, was shot two times in the thigh. PHILADELPHIA - One man is dead and a teenager was injured after a double shooting in Kensington on Thursday night. According to police, the shooting occurred on the 3100 block of Potter Street around 10:46 p.m.Authorities say an unidentified man was shot once in the head and transported to Temple Hospital, where he was initially put in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at 12:06 a.m., according to officials. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESA 17-year-old was also injured in the shooting and sustained a gunshot wound to his right ear, police say. Authorities say he was transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition. 

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is searching for a car and its occupants in connection with a shooting in North Philadelphia. Authorities say the shooting happened Monday at 8:35 p.m.

Police say one man is dead and another is injured after a double shooting in Tioga Monday afternoon.  PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a double shooting that left one man dead in Tioga Monday afternoon. At around 12:50 p.m., police say they responded to 3600 North 15th Street for reports of a shooting.On the scene, police say they found a 33-year-old man who had been shot multiple times throughout the body.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after he was shot in North Philadelphia on Thursday, according to police. Authorities say officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting on the 2800 block of 6th Street around 2:40 a.m. Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum told reporters that while on the way, officers received notification that an injured man was on the highway. According to police, the officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and rushed him to Temple Hospital. The man is currently in critical condition, according to Rosenbaum. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe investigation is still in the preliminary phase, but authorities said blood and shell casings were found at the scene. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Olney, according to authorities. Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small told FOX 29 that the shooting took place Monday night just before 11 p.m. Authorities say officers with the 25th District responded to a 911 call for a report of gunshots on the 4500 block of Palethorp Street. MORE LOCAL HEADLINES According to Small, officers found a 20-year-old man laying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the head and torso. He was rushed to Temple Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m., per officials. Authorities say at least 18 spent shell casings were found on the scene. According to police, no arrests have been made and there is no motive, but there were several cameras in the area that will investigators will examine. Small says the victim, who has not yet been identified, lives several miles away but is a Philadelphia resident. 

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department say they believe a man was shot by his roommate in Frankford. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident took place around 1 a.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a shootout in Frankford that sent three people to the hospital, including one man who was shot in the head. Just after 10 p.m. on Thursday night, 15th District officers on patrol heard gunshots coming from the intersection of Arrott and Griscom Streets, according to Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small. Officers found a 30-year-old man sitting in the driver's seat of an SUV with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities say. According to Small, the man was rushed to Temple Hospital, where he is in critical condition.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating after an off-duty corrections officer was carjacked at gunpoint and shot at the alleged carjacker in Feltonville on Monday night. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, officers with the 25th District received a 911 call for a robbery and gunshots on the 200 block of E Roosevelt Boulevard around 11 p.m. When officers arrived on location, they were met by an off-duty corrections officer, 59, who said he was leaving a friend's house and getting into his Toyota Avalon when he was approached by a man with a gun who pulled him out of the car, police say. According to authorities, the alleged carjacker got into the driver's seat of the car and began to drive away as the off-duty corrections officer fired five shots at the suspect and the car. The suspect sped off in the car and officers located it about 25 minutes later on the 4900 block of Bingham Street, officials say. Small says the vehicle was found with five bullet holes in it and fresh blood inside the car. Authorities say officers were also notified that a 21-year-old shooting victim with a gunshot wound in each arm showed up for treatment at Temple Hospital. Small says there is a possibility that the shooting victim may be the alleged carjacker and authorities are investigating. According to police, the off-duty officer said the suspect was wearing a surgical mask and a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.

PHILADELPHIA - An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman caught on surveillance video shooting a man at close range in Kensington, a source says. Police say the woman, who they have now identified, shot a man on E. Wishart Street in Kensington on June 6 around 2:43 a.m. According to authorities, SEPTA police officers were in the area when they heard a gunshot and they found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen on the 1800 block of E.

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking to identify and find a woman caught on camera shooting a man in Kensington. According to police, the incident happened on June 6 at 2:43 a.m. in the area of Wishart Street and Kensington Avenue. Authorities say SEPTA police officers dispersing a large crowd in the area heard a gunshot. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen on the 1800 block of E.

Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in North Philadelphia.  PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking into the fatal shooting of a man on Tuesday night. Police say gunshots were reported on the 100 block of W Indiana Avenue. Officers found a 47-year-old man on the ground with gunshot wounds to the back and arm, according to authorities. Officials say police rushed him to Temple Hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESTwo spent shell casings were discovered at the crime scene, police say. According to authorities, investigators believe he may have been targeted. The investigation is active and ongoing. 

PHILADELPHIA - Mother's Day in Philadelphia took a violent turn Sunday afternoon into the evening and police are now investigating three separate shootings across the city. Authorities say at least two people are dead and several others were injured in the violent incidents and several families are now feeling the pain of loss. The violence started with a double shooting in Kensington at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Clearfield Street, according to authorities. Police say a woman, 25, was shot in the head and brought to Temple Hospital, where she is in critical condition. Police are investigating after a man was shot in the twice in a daytime shooting in Port Richmond.  PHILADELPHIA - A man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday afternoon in Port Richmond, according to Philadelphia police. Authorities say a 40-year-old man was shot on the 2600 block of W.

Philadelphia police are searching for two offenders they believe are responsible for the shooting death of a man in Hunting Park on March 2.  PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is offering $20,000 for information on the fatal shooting of a man in Hunting Park in early March. On March 2, officers responded to the 1100 block of W.

A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times in the side Monday night in Hunting Park.

KENSINGTON - A 60-year-old man is clinging to life after he was shot in the chest in Kensington.Authorities say the man was shot one time in the chest on the 1800 block of East Lehigh Avenue Wednesday, just after 5:30 p.m.Police said after the man was shot, he managed to walk into the Episcopal campus of Temple University Hospital, but, once there, it was determined he should be transferred. Medics then rushed him to Temple Hospital.

PHILADELPHIA - Police are looking for a suspect or suspects after a shooting left one man dead and another injured in Philadelphia's Hunting Park neighborhood. Officers responded to several 9-1-1 calls around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night and found two 22-year-old men suffering from gunshot wounds on North Franklin Street near West Bristol Street.According to police, one of the victims was shot in the back and was taken to Temple Hospital.

HUNTING PARK - A Philadelphia police officer was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being involved in a car crash in Hunting Park, according to police.The crash happened near Old York Road and West Erie Avenue shortly before 6 a.m., the Philadelphia Police Department said. FOX 29's Bob Kelly said the crash happened when a Philadelphia police officer was rushing a gunshot wound victim to a nearby hospital. A SEPTA police officer who arrived first to the scene took both the officer and gunshot victim to Temple Hospital.Another car with significant front-end damage was seen near the intersection of West Erie Avenue.A police officer was injured during a crash Wednesday morning in Hunting Park, police said.

JUNIATA PARK - A young woman is dead following a car crash Friday afternoon in Juniata Park, according to police. Authorities say the deadly crash happened on the 1400 block of East Erie Avenue around noon. Police report the 25-year-old victim was driving westbound when her green Chrystler collided with a white Toyota that was making a left turn.The 25-year-old victim was pronounced dead by medics. The 55-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Temple Hospital.

KENSINGTON - Authorities are investigating after an apparent drive-by shooting injured a man in Kensington late Wednesday night.Police say the incident happened on the 3000 block of Water Street just before midnight.Two men were sitting outside a residence when a dark-colored Toyota sedan drove past and opened fire. A 31-year-old was struck in the chest by gunfire and rushed to Episcopal Hospital for treatment.Police say the victim later underwent surgery at Temple Hospital.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia police officer was taken to the hospital after a two-car crash early Friday morning in North Philadelphia.The crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. at Front Street and Alleghany Avenue.Police say the officer was in his patrol car when there was a collision involving a second vehicle.The officer was treated for minor injuries at Temple Hospital.
