Health chiefs confirm contact tracing underway with links to East Ayrshire primary school

Stewarton is underway, NHS Ayrshire & Arran has confirmed tonight.The health board's Test & Protect team say they have undertaken a "careful risk assessment to identify any children and staff who may have had contact with the confirmed cases" of COVID-19 and have asked those individuals to self-isolate for 10 days.Primary school pupils in P1 to P3 returned to the classroom on Monday, February 22 with the remainder of children going back to lessons on Monday, March 15.Dr Joy Tomlinson, joint director of public health, said: "NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Test & Protect team is currently conducting a contact tracing exercise with links to Lainshaw Primary School in the East Ayrshire Council area.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get

"Those who have been identified as close contacts through this process have already been contacted directly by the Test and Protect Team and advised to self-isolate for 14 days."The Market Inn has physical distancing and hygiene processes in place to minimise the risk of viral spread and to support Test and Protect.
