Oxford coronavirus vaccine tester describes 'side effects' on Lorraine
Lorraine Kelly quizzed a volunteer for the Oxford coronavirus vaccine trial on Monday's show, asking him about the injection's potential side effects.Having been developed over the course of the year, scientists revealed on Monday the Oxford vaccine is thought to have 70% efficacy.Calling in from Shropshire, the volunteer, whose name was Jack Sommers, admitted he hadn't experienced many side effects after undergoing the trial.However, Jack – who lost his job during the lockdown – admitted he had suffered a slight pain in his shoulder, though wasn't sure whether that was due to the vaccine.He admitted: "I think I had like a slight pain in my shoulder."Jack pointed out the pain could be the result of the vaccine, the placebo, or something
