Hordes of frantic passengers have been touching down in the UK from Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the last remaining hours before travel is banned.
The border with the UAE, as well as Burundi and Rwanda, closed at 1pm today meaning non-British nationals and residents will now be denied entry if they've transited through these countries.
It also means that any Brits who are returning from these destinations will be required to quarantine at home for 10 days. But with transport secretary Grant Shapps only making the announcement yesterday at 5pm, via Twitter, desperate jetsetters have been scrambling to get home with 20 hours notice.
