Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne has been praised for battling through his health issues to give a surprise performance at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Monday.

The 73 year old husband of former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019, and in June of this year, he underwent "life altering surgery".

Despite this, Ozzy put on an energetic performance as he entertained crowds, looking typically gothic in a pair of black jeans and a t-shirt with a long cover up that fell to the floor. The rocker wore heavy dark eye makeup and wore his long dark hair loose around his shoulders.

Ozzy's performance brought an end to the games, in which Australia come top of the medal leaderboard, while England came in second place - but had its most successful games ever.
