Over half the adult population in Ireland is now fully vaccinated against Covid-19, the Health Service Executive has confirmed.
The HSE Chief Executive, Paul Reid, shared the news on social media. "There are now over 50% of the adult population fully vaccinated," he said.
Meanwhile 69% of adults have received one dose of a Covid vaccine. Mr Reid said a total of 4.42 million vaccines have been administered to date with 245,000 completed last week. "We are working hard to protect as many people as quickly as possible," he added.
The Department of Health yesterday reported 365 more Covid-19 cases. There are 51 people with the virus in hospital, 14 of whom are in ICU. Latest coronavirus stories Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan, revealed
