Coronavirus infection rates have gone up in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, new data has revealed. Trafford continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester at a rate of 947.1 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending December 15.
This is more than double the infection rate of Bolton, with the lowest number of cases in Greater Manchester, with 471.5 cases per 100,000 people.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 656.3 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 731.3 cases per 100,000 people.
