Omicron symptoms and the Covid sign you may notice during your bathroom visits
The Omicron Covid variant is now the dominant strain throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK. Despite often causing milder disease, Omicron is also leaving suffers with a number of different symptoms compared to the 'big three' associated with previous variants.
Strains such as Delta had telltales signs of a cough, fever and loss or change of taste or smell. However, there are said to be up to 20 symptoms of the Omicron variant with many infections feeling like the common cold or the flu.

But one symptom may be a little different to the others and is actually centred around your toilet habits.If when you pop to the bathroom you find you have diarrhoea, it could well be a sign you've caught Omicron, the CDC said.NBC Chicago notes people with compromised immune systems are the most likely to experience diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
These might be people recovering from Covid, although John Hopkins Medicine notes around 20% are likely to experience diarrhoea as a symptom shortly after catching the virus.
