(Credit: Food and Drug Administration) BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Old Europe Cheese, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall for its Brie and Camembert cheeses over concerns of possible listeria contamination, according to the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration. The products have best-by dates through 12/14/2022 and were distributed from August 01, 2022, through September 28, 2022.
The cheeses are sold at stores nationwide and in Mexico including Albertsons, Safeway, Meijer, Harding’s, Shaw’s, Price Chopper, Market Basket, Raley’s, Save Mart, Giant Foods, Stop & Shop, Fresh Thyme, Lidl, Sprouts, Athenian Foods, Whole Foods. The FDA said the same listeria strain had been linked to six illnesses between 2017 and 2022, but so far there haven't been any illnesses directly linked to the recall.According to the U.S.
