JUNIATA PARK - Teamsters Local 830 went on strike Sunday against Liberty Coca-Cola, the largest Coca-Cola bottler and distributor, serving New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.The union represents 400 members at Liberty Coca-Cola’s Philadelphia plant, in Philadelphia’s Juniata Park neighborhood. Their contract expired April 15.Both Liberty Coca-Cola and the union stated they were in intensive contract negotiations several months, but have been unable to reach an agreement.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - Two people are being sought in a shooting that wounded two others at a university in southeastern Pennsylvania over the weekend, authorities said.Lincoln University security officials said the shooting happened at about 10 p.m. Saturday during "Yardfest," an annual spring event at the Chester County campus near Oxford.Lincoln University's president, Brenda Allen, said in a statement that "a gun was discharged causing two non fatal injuries." LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Another mass shooting in Louisville, Kentucky, left two dead and four others wounded at a public park Saturday less than a week after the high-profile massacre at Old National Bank.Police said they are still actively searching for the person responsible for opening fire into a crowd of hundreds gathered in Chickasaw Park at approximately 9 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find at least two people deceased in the park from gunshot wounds. PHILADELPHIA - An early morning crash ended with the death of four people and one man arrested Saturday.Police say the crash happened on the Schuylkill Expressway near the Roosevelt Boulevard exit around 1:45 a.m.According to officials with the Pennsylvania State Police, a car driven by a 31-year-old man crossed lanes of traffic, hitting another vehicle.The man’s car spun around and overturned several times before stopping on the right shoulder of the northbound Roosevelt Boulevard off-ramp.The car he hit was pushed forward into a bridge pillar on the highway, killing everyone inside, state troopers said.MORE HEADLINES:The 31-year-old driver is identified as Victor Spizzirri. TACOMA, Wash. - Pierce County prosecutors charged former Seattle SuperSonic Shawn Kemp with first-degree assault after exchanging gunfire last month in the Tacoma Mall parking lot.At the time, the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office said it was not filing charges for the March 8 incident.According to charging documents, Kemp told Tacoma police he was shot at first, but detectives say that does not line up with video from witnesses. That video allegedly shows Kemp getting out of his car, grabbing a bag from his trunk and firing the gun.Detectives said Kemp was standing where a round of ammunition was found on the ground, and during a search of his car a gun was located.Previously, Kemp's attorney told FOX 13 he fired a gun in self-defense after he tracked his stolen cell phone to the Tacoma Mall.

PHILADELPHIA - Darius Cuevas would love to take his young son to the park across the street from his Lawncrest home, but he says rampant gun violence in the city often gives him second thoughts."It's sad to see, sad to say, but it's the city we live in right now," Cuevas said. DEPTFORD, N.J. - It’s been a little over a month since Deptford Police Officer Bobby Shisler was shot in the leg during a traffic stop. Friday, friends, family and fellow officers honored Officer Shisler with a community blood drive.It’s an all-day event, picking up as people left work for the day in the late afternoon. CHESTER, Pa. - Residents and environmental activists gathered Friday at a Chester park to denounce the controversial words spoken by Philadelphia mayoral candidate Jeff Brown during Tuesday night's debate. When asked about tons of garbage being trucked to Chester from Philadelphia for processing at a trash-to-energy plant, Brown said his concerns are with the people of Philadelphia. "Chester is Chester I’m worried about Philadelphia and how their lives are what would come first is what would be best for Philadelphia," Brown said from behind a podium on Tuesday. That comment rattled the cage of Chester residents who say they are fed up with the quality of life in the beleaguered river town of 33,000 on the banks of the Delaware River.Chester residents speak out after a question and answer of where Philly's trash ends up during the mayoral debate raises eyebrows and continues to be a topic of sharp conversation."You are a pimp, and we will not be prostituted for pollution and that goes for all the candidates in Philadelphia," Zulene Mayfield said on Friday.The City of Chester is paid $5M yearly by Covanta to process 3,500 tons of waste every day. According to a Covanta spokesperson, a study shows that the plant does not pose a health risk of any kind o people living nearby and the plant operates below its federally regulated standards. Still, activists argue the plant is a source of asthma in children and has driven down property values. "Chester is not a dumping ground, no trash has to come here, it should not be here and it shouldn’t be in Philadelphia," Rep.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department continues its search for suspects connected to the theft of thousands worth of dimes from a truck in Philadelphia. Authorities say officers responded to the parking lot of a Walmart on Byberry Road in the Northeast section of the city. Investigators say responding officers found an unmarked trailer, which contained about $750,000 worth of dimes, broken open. Police say the initial call came in as a theft with a group of ten more males stealing from the trailer. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to officials, detectives from the Northeast Division and SWAT held the crime scene as investigators surveyed the crime scene. Police say they are searching for multiple male suspects in addition to a white Chrysler 300 and a dark-colored pickup truck. Authorities say about $200,000 worth of dimes were stolen in the heist. Authorities say a parked trailer containing $750k in dimes was broken into overnight. Police found dimes scattered throughout the parking lot and down the street in the aftermath of the heist.

WASHINGTON - A senior Federal Reserve official said Friday that there has been little progress on inflation for more than a year and that more interest rate hikes are needed to get prices under control.Christopher Waller, a member of the Fed's governing board, did not specify how many more increases he supports, but said in written remarks that inflation "is still much too high and so my job is not done."Last month, inflation slowed as food and gas prices fell, but excluding those volatile categories, "core" prices kept rising and are 5.6% higher than a year ago. Waller pointed out that core prices have risen at about that same pace, or higher, since December 2021.Waller's comments expressing support for more rate hikes follow a forecast by the Fed's staff economists, revealed in Fed minutes Wednesday, for a "mild recession" later this year.The Federal Reserve building is seen January 22, 2008 in Washington, DC.

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - San Francisco police arrested Nima Momeni, the founder of Expand IT in Emeryville, early Thursday morning in connection with the fatal stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee earlier this month.Efforts to reach Momeni and his company were not immediately successful, but here's what we know so far. Mission Local first reported that Momeni and Lee, who was killed on April 4, knew each other and had been driving through downtown San Francisco together in Momeni's car. But Lee's former wife did not know their exact relationship and she could not explain a motive for the death.MORE: Emeryville entrepreneur arrested in connection with stabbing death of Cash App exec Bob LeeNima Momeni's name appears on the Besler building in Emeryville.  Momeni, 38, was arrested at his live/work space in Emeryville and booked on a homicide charge at San Francisco County Jail. NORTH DIGHTON, Mass. - FBI agents arrested Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira at a home in North Dighton, Massachusetts, on Thursday in relation to a trove of classified documents that have been leaked online in recent months. Police vehicles were seen at a Massachusetts location believed to be connected with the guardsman. The guardsman's security clearance and access to classified government systems have been revoked, according to an internal government document reviewed by Fox News.The guardsman worked on military intelligence systems on a full-time basis, Fox News is told.The National Guard said in a statement it is aware Thursday of the "alleged role a Massachusetts Air National Guardsman may have played in the recent leak of highly-classified documents" from the Pentagon."The National Guard takes this issue very seriously and will support investigators," the National Guard said in a statement.

The agency cautioned that dry, windy conditions similar to those in New Jersey were increasing the danger of forest fires elsewhere, too.The blaze in Manchester, near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, forced the evacuation of around 170 homes late Tuesday, with police and fire officials going door-to-door to ask people to take temporary shelter at a nearby high school.

PHILADELPHIA - Homicide detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating the shooting death of a man in Philadelphia, authorities say. According to officials, the shooting occurred on the 2100 block of Gould Street in the city's Southwest Philadelphia section just after midnight on Thursday. Authorities say a 28-year-old man was shot once in the stomach. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESHe was transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 12:58 a.m., per police. Officials say the shooting scene has not been found and no arrest has been made. 

HORSHAM, Pa. - A Montgomery County family has been left in shambles after officials say an 11-year-old boy was killed by his own mother, who then tried to drive her car into the ocean at the Jersey Shore.Police were called to a house 500 block of Privet Road in Horsham Township Tuesday when a man said he discovered his son dead in the master bedroom.The boy's dad told police the 11-year-old had slept in bed with his mom the night prior, but the door was locked the next morning, and his wife's car was missing.Officials say an investigation revealed that the boy's mom, identified as 50-year-old Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, killed her son as he slept in her bed.MORE HEADLINES:She then fled to Cape May and drove into the ocean until her car was inoperable. PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia officials have announced "an independent and comprehensive evaluation" of the Philadelphia 76ers’ proposal to build a $1.3 billion sports arena next to the city's Chinatown neighborhood, an idea that's drawn strong opposition from some Chinatown residents and leaders.Mayor Jim Kenney on Wednesday called the proposal announced last summer "an exciting opportunity" but said officials must understand the impact it may have on the surrounding communities before any plans move forward."In the coming months, he said, city and public agency partners as well as third-party consultants will complete technical studies on the feasibility and impacts of such an arena in the proposed location. He said that would include assessing "building design, community impact and urban planning, economic impact and parking/traffic impact."Kenney also said the developers must ensure that the project "works for the surrounding communities" that would be affected and urged that they be "involved and engaged throughout every step of this process."The city's announcement came hours before an evening meeting scheduled in Chinatown by opponents of the arena, which would be built just a block away from the community's prominent gateway arch with a planned opening in 2031.

HUNTING PARK - Philadelphia fire crews battled a three-alarm fire that broke out in a junkyard on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the fire erupted on the 500 block of West Annsbury Street in the city's Hunting Park section. SKYFOX flew over the fire, which sent plumes of smoke into the air of nearby streets. According to the Philadelphia Fire Department, drivers were asked to avoid the area of 5th and Hutchinson Streets.MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe fire was raised to two and then three alarms, requiring additional crews to respond. There was so much smoke, officials said, smoke alarms went off inside nearby homes.A fire broke out at a Hunting Park junkyard, quickly escalating to three-alarms, with 120 firefighters reporting to fight the blaze.In an update late Wednesday afternoon, fire officials announced one civilian injury, due to smoke inhalation. That person was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover, noting the injury was minor.SKYFOX over a junkyard in Hunting Park, where fire crews are actively working to extinguish flames.They went on to say the junkyard was an all-automobile junkyard.

CHELTENHAM, Pa. - The heartbroken brother of a woman who was killed in front of her son in a "targeted shooting" that unfolded in the drive-thru of a local Dunkin' said he's still in shock about the murder. Authorities say 35-year-old Rachel King was shot to death around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning outside the Dunkin' in the Melrose Shopping Center.

RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Police say investigators found a body believed to be connected to the disappearance of Seattle woman Leticia Martinez, who was last seen March 31 at a Mariners game.Police will not confirm that it is Martinez' body, but say the remains were found in a wooded area between Talbot Rd. and State Route 167 in Renton.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Two Chester County women have been arrested for stealing $450,000 from their employer, Chester County officials said.The announcement came Wednesday from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, saying 22-year-old West Chester resident Mikayla Zeigler and 25-year-old Danielle King, of Chadds Ford, reportedly stole $450,000 from their employer, a doctor in West Chester, between October 2020 and August 2021.In addition, the two are charged with trying to sell items, valued at over $1 million, that belonged to the doctor.Officials outlined an extensive scheme by the women, stealing from the doctor and spending that money on themselves.According to officials, King and Zeigler convinced the victim to use an electronic banking system, which allowed them access to accounts of the victim and his businesses. They worked in positions where they had control over banking and access to checks, debit cards, credit cards and account numbers.MORE HEADLINES:The two women left their jobs suddenly August 25, 2021.The doctor took note of a large amount of money he thought was stolen from various bank and credit card accounts and alerted Chester County detectives in September of 2021.Authorities said detectives found the defendants stole $256,950.88 through 80 unauthorized payments from four of the victim’s bank accounts.The women then allegedly put the money into their bank accounts, Paypal accounts, Applecard accounts and car and student loan payments, between January and August 2021.The women are also accused of stealing $108,302.00 from January through August 2021, using credit cards.

Your photo gets plastered all over social media."That's the warning Glassboro Police Department posted in the search for a man and woman accused of stealing from an unsuspecting elderly woman.The woman was putting her cart away in a Shoprite parking lot when they approached her on either side, speaking in a thick accent.MORE HEADLINES:Police say that's when they distracted her, and stole her purse and wallet from the cart.They then proceeded to go on shopping spree worth more than $1,300 with the stolen goods, according to authorities.They are said to be driving a newer white Nissan Murano with a Florida license plate.

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A criminal investigation is underway after police say a woman was found dead outside a Dunkin' in Cheltenham Township Tuesday morning.SkyFOX was live over the scene as a heavy police presence gathered around a taped-off drive-thru.The shooting happened outside the Dunkin' on Cheltenham Avenue in the Melrose Shopping Center.According to authorities with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and the Cheltenham Township Police Department, the woman was identified as Rachel King, 35 of Elkins Park. Officials say officers were dispatched to the Melrose Shopping Center for a report of a shooting around 7:39 a.m., and arriving officers discovered King in the driver's seat of a black Ford Edge, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Police say King's car came to a rest in the drive-thru lane. According to investigators, King was traveling west on Cheltenham Avenue when she turned into the shopping center and pulled into the Dunkin' drive-thru lane. Shortly after, a light-colored sedan, believed to possibly be a Ford or Mercury, was seen driving behind King's car and parked a short distance away from the drive-thru lane. A man got out of the vehicle, walked up to King's car and fired numerous shots through the driver's side window as King's 11-year-old son sat in the backseat, officials say. The child was not injured, per police. Authorities say the shooter fled the scene driving east on Cheltenham Avenue. "This appears to be a targeted murder of a mother," Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R.
