PHILADELPHIA - The National Weather Service confirmed six tornadoes touched down in Pennsylvania and New Jersey during the peak of the storms Wednesday.

NWS crews headed out to Mullica Hill, New Jersey where a confirmed tornado ripped through a number of homes and caused other destruction.

The weather service is also surveying multiple other locations where there were reports and widespread damage.Confirmed "large and extremely dangerous" tornadoes were located over Willow Grove, Washington Crossing in Pennsylvania and Woodbury, New Jersey.

The National Weather Service said shortly after 7 p.m. a tornado was spotted in the Burlington area, getting ready to cross into southern Bucks County. (National Weather Service) Further north, crews.

NWS confirms 5 tornadoes touched down in Pennsylvania, New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA - The National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes touched down in Pennsylvania and New Jersey during the peak of the storms Wednesday. NWS crews headed out to Mullica Hill, New Jersey where a confirmed tornado ripped through a number of homes and caused other destruction. The weather service is also surveying multiple other locations where there were reports and widespread damage.Confirmed "large and extremely dangerous" tornadoes were located over Willow Grove, Washington Crossing in Pennsylvania and Woodbury, New Jersey.

NWS to survey damage for more possible tornadoes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA - The National Weather Service will be surveying damage in a number of areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey Thursday for possible tornadoes.NWS crews will be heading out to Mullica Hill, New Jersey where a confirmed tornado ripped through a number of homes and caused other destruction. They’ll also be surveying parts of Salem County up through Camden County. Confirmed "large and extremely dangerous" tornadoes were located over Willow Grove, Washington Crossing in Pennsylvania and Woodbury, New Jersey.

Remnants from Ida trigger multiple tornado warnings, flooding as severe weather impacts the region

Willow Grove, Pa. - Heavy downpours and high winds triggered multiple tornado warnings and flooding as remnants from Hurricane Ida impacted the Philadelphia region Wednesday.A confirmed " large and extremely dangerous" tornado was located over Willow Grove, Washington Crossing in Pennsylvania and Woodbury, New Jersey. Pennsylvania State Tropper tweeted downed trees through southern Chester County as the storms started to move in around 4 p.m.High winds on Slate Hill Drive in Oxford, Chester County ripped off the siding of a large home.
