The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet today to discuss a range of issues, including the Phase 4 easing of Covid 19-restrictions due to take place next Monday.

However, Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said it is too early to say if the reopening of the remainder of pubs who have not reopened will go ahead on that date.

Yesterday, a further 11 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were reported, while no new deaths were recorded. In all over the past two weeks, there have been 165 new cases.

Of these, 74% have involved people under the age of 45. Asked at yesterday's Department of Health briefing about the full reopening of pubs next week, Dr Glynn said it was too early to say, adding that that we are a week out from that
