One of first Brits shipped out of Wuhan after Covid struck begs to return to China
Boris' strategy are quite reckless."Scrapping the free tests and isolation requirements is a huge decision because there are still loads of vulnerable people here who could do without catching the virus."Once people have to pay for a test, they're just not going to - especially those who have more of a selfish outlook on Covid."At the moment the majority of people are on board with isolating if they test positive, but giving people that choice I think is dangerous."The game plan seems to be centred around gaining that herd immunity we've spoken about for so long now, which is a huge gamble.

CDC's COVID-19 mask guidelines to loosen Friday, AP sources say
WASHINGTON - The Biden administration will significantly loosen federal mask-wearing guidelines to protect against COVID-19 transmission on Friday, according to two people familiar with the matter, meaning most Americans will no longer be advised to wear masks in indoor public settings. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday will announce a change to the metrics it uses to determine whether to recommend face coverings, shifting from looking at COVID-19 case counts to a more holistic view of risk from the coronavirus to a community. Under current guidelines, masks are recommended for people residing in communities of substantial or high transmission — roughly 95% of U.S.

Mask mandate will likely be lifted in schools when it is removed for wider public: Ontario top doc
Ontario’s mask mandate will likely be lifted in schools when it is removed for most public spaces, the province’s top doctor says.Dr. Kieran Moore made the comment during his weekly COVID-19 update Thursday, but noted that masking requirements will remain in place “for the time being.”“Making does remain an important tool in our tool box and even when it’s no longer required in public settings, it will continue to be an effective tool for reducing transmission and protecting those recovering from illness, their close contacts, and those who may be more vulnerable to severe COVID-19 infection,” Moore said.“Some in our communities may also choose to continue wearing them regularly and we need to be respectful of individual choices once masking is no longer required.” Ontario mask mandate will likely be reviewed in March, top doctor says Moore was asked by a reporter whether all masking requirements would be removed at the same time, or if it would be phased and if so, where schools stood on that list.“The consultations have started and we will be working with school boards, with parents, with the ministries and make a decision together,” he said.

Omicron BA.2 symptoms: Feel acute pain in stomach? Here's how to confirm whether it's Covid
COVID can affect all our organs. From the lungs to the chest, it can also affect our nervous system, causing severe diseases like cardiac arrest and even vasculitis. Now, it is a well-known fact by now that the severity of the infection depends on one's immunity and the vaccination status. And the symptoms are so varied and distinct from one another, that it has become difficult to detect the ailment simply by the signs or symptoms. For example, recent studies have shown Omicron can also cause gut-related issues. Now, if you experience stomach ache how do you determine that it is not a stomach bug but COVID?
