The Department of Foreign Affairs has said that from 12 October, there will be no countries on the travel Green List. When countries are on the list, people can travel there from Ireland without restricting their movements on their return.
Currently, there are four countries on the Green List – Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Liechtenstein. The list includes European/EEA countries with a 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 of 25 or less, which is based on data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
The department says that updates to the Green List are made on the basis of data every Thursday. However, following a review of the latest data no country was found to be below the required 14-day cumulative
