New Covid-19 infection data reveals Devon, the Humber, and parts of Somerset are currently the safest places in England. It comes as alarming figures reveal the UK is currently averaging 70,000 symptomatic cases every day - up 27 per cent in just a week following Christmas mixing.
Data from the Zoe Covid Symptom Study estimates that one in 202 people has symptomic coronavirus in Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset.
In the Humber that figure is believed to be around one in 234, while in Devon it is one in 289. In comparison, experts now believe one in 42 people have symptomatic Covid-19 in London - giving it a rate of 2,380 cases per 100,000 people. Have you been affected by coronavirus directly?
