How often have you heard the phrase ‘people are our strongest asset’? When it comes to health and social care, it’s so true.It’s the hard work and dedication of the people working in health and social care that makes the difference when we are unwell or need looking after.

The NHS and all the social care services wouldn’t be possible without these professionals.The Scottish Health Awards is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the incredible efforts of this talented health and social care workforce.

This year, like many others, NHS Education for Scotland is sponsoring the Leader of the Year Award.NHS Education for Scotland, or NES as it is known, is responsible for educating, training and developing our health and social care workforce.

This includes making sure it has the right people with the right skills to improve health outcomes for all of the communities across Scotland.
