FLORENCE TWP., N.J. - Authorities in Burlington County are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found inside a residence Monday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Burlington County Prosecutors Office said the unnamed woman was found dead inside a home on the 200 block of Birch Hollow Drive in Florence Township. Investigators have not said what caused the woman's death, but they believe it's "considered to be suspicious." While no arrests have been reported, authorities said there is not threat to the community. More information is expected to be shared on Monday night, according to prosecutors.

BELLE CHASSE, La. - An attorney for a 12-year-old boy has released a video that, he says, supports the claim that his client was stomped on by a sheriff's deputy in Louisiana.Ryan K. Thompson of the Thompson Justice Institute said the video was taken February 19 as deputies were arresting the unidentified boy after pulling him over on a dirt bike in Belle Chasse in Plaquemines Parish.The footage was captured by a dashboard camera in a Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office (PPSO) vehicle.Thompson said the video shows PPSO Deputy Sheriff Anthony Dugas "violently" throwing his client to the ground and  Deputy Joseph Francis kicking him several times.Thompson added the boy was riding his bike with friends and family before he was stopped for alleged traffic violations.

PHILADELPHIA - Just one day into the new academic year, the School District of Philadelphia announced early dismissals for 100 schools with insufficient cooling systems due to forecasted heat. Impacted schools will send students home three hours earlier than their normal dismissal times on Tuesday and Wednesday. All after school and sports activities have also been canceled. The School District of Philadelphia has posted a complete list of all the schools impacted by the early dismissal on its website. The decision to send students home early over the next two days was made in alignment with the district's Extreme Heat Protocols. "We realize that early dismissals, especially those made the day before, can present challenges for many families," the district said.

DELAWARE COUNTY - A patient's trauma was escalated even further after police say she was allegedly assaulted while under the care of an EMT.Police say the incident began last week when the victim needed to be transported from a medical facility in Brookhaven to a local hospital for further treatment.During transport, the woman was reportedly exposed and photographed in the back of the ambulance by an EMT. PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department's Shooting Investigation Group are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with a double shooting in Mayfair. Authorities say the shooting occurred on the 4000 block of Magee Avenue on Thursday at 4:08 a.m. Officers responded to the scene for a report of gunshots and found shell casings but no victims, according to officials. Police said two gunshot victims later showed up at Jefferson-Frankford Hospital in a private vehicle with gunshot wounds to their chest and face. Authorities say both victims are listed in extremely critical condition. Police released surveillance video that shows the alleged suspects in a Wawa on Frankford Avenue before they were believed to be seen chasing the two victims, who were on bikes. Anyone with information on the shooting or suspects is urged to contact police at 215-686-8477 or submit an anonymous tip.
