West Chester high schools look to change schedule in favor of more time for students
WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Beginning this fall, high schools in the West Chester Area School District are putting a focus on mental health and reworking the schedule."I think it would be beneficial," freshman Mrina Balachandar stated.Balachandar has just a few weeks left of her first year of high school, a big adjustment year. But, she’s ready for another change, if it means some more free time."It would give us extra time and a break from all the classes, instead of continuing the whole day, just not having our own time to just have a break for everything," Balachander remarked.RELATED HEADLINES:The superintendent of the West Chester Area School District, in Chester County, tells FOX 29 an extra period is coming to the district’s three high schools in the 2022 to 2023 school year.

Putin health fears grow as Russian dictator misses annual ice hockey match
Vladimir Putin has missed an annual ice hockey match that has been a regular fixture in his calendar since 2012, giving rise to more speculation about his health. The Russian leader, 69, has made a habit of showing off his skills on the ice at an annual match during Russia's Night Hockey League National Festival in May.But this year while Putin was 'expected' to take part, he instead sent a video message wishing competitors 'good luck in their ice battles' - despite the President being in the Black Sea report of Sochi where the match took place on Tuesday. It is only the second time that the President has missed the game since 2012, with the first instance being due to acknowledged health problems.
