A new mum was devastated to be separated from her newborn triplets after finding out she had coronavirus days before the birth.
Ashleigh Shirajudin had a routine pre-op check-up one week before her Caesarean section. As a precaution, a coronavirus test was done in a bid to prevent the virus from making its way onto the ward although Ashleigh was showing no symptoms.
But a day later, the 30-year-old mum was left shocked, crying, and stressed when a nurse told her she had tested positive. She was told that not only would she have to give birth alone, but she wouldn't be able to see her babies after the delivery.
