Mum-of-8 rushed to hospital with Covid-19 'thought she was going to die'

A mum-of-eight who was forced to leave her kids at home after being rushed to hospital with coronavirus said she 'thought she was going to die'. 'Octomum' Marie Buchan, 39, tested positive for the deadly bug and was taken to hospital on Saturday night after her condition worsened.

Her spokesman said she had fears about 'not pulling through'. The former lap-dancer lost her sense of taste and smell and developed a cough but also had been vomiting and suffering nose bleeds for the previous week.

She was self-isolating at home by locking herself in her bedroom while her kids, aged six to 18, fended for themselves downstairs.
