A mum left fighting for her life in intensive care with Covid-19 is still suffering strange side-effects months later. Toni Francom was treated at Arrowe Park Hospital in the Wirral in April after being diagnosed with the condition.
The 32-year-old mum of two, who also has underlying health conditions, has been in and out of hospital ever since, the Liverpool Echo reported.
She said: "I was left fighting for my life for seven weeks. "I was left with lung damage, a heart defect, missing smell, strange smells, chronic fatigue and asthma. "I am always out of breath and have had repeated chest infections, leading to multiple hospital stays.
