A mum is fighting for her life in intensive care after catching Covid and giving birth by emergency C-section while in a coma.
Sameera Khan, 28, was rushed to the Royal London Hospital from her home in Tower Hamlets on January 8 when she was 29 weeks pregnant, after she became ill with coronavirus and her oxygen levels fell dangerously low.
She was placed in an induced coma the following day when her condition deteriorated rapidly, and her baby girl had to be born via emergency C-section while she was still in a coma.
The baby is currently in an incubator and is in a stable condition but Sameera is fighting for her life, My London reports. Now, friends and family face an anxious wait for news of the mum-of-four's condition.
