health after experts noticed a change in his "gangster" appearance. The 14ft croc has become a popular hit with tourists and is known for his hardman exterior, but has since caused concern with his growing abscess.

The gigantic beast has previously recovered from "some horrific injuries" and has stunned spectators who've also noticed other crocodiles enter the area with "missing limbs." David White, who owns the river cruise company Solar Whisper Daintree River Crocodile and Wildlife Cruises, says he has been watching Scarface in the wild for more than 20 years. The expert has warned the saltwater crocodile's condition is "getting worse" and said antibiotics can't help him, reports Newsweek. He says wildlife vets have told him that the only measure to relieve the abscess would be an operation.

However, this would mean the reptile wouldn't be able to return to the wild due to government policy. The Facebook post reads: "As Scarface is old he may not even survive the capture, he certainly wouldn't like captivity as he's the King."So we just leave it, and there's a good chance the vet said the infection has already spread as the swelling is severe."But one thing I do know is never underestimate a crocodile in all that they do, including healing.

They have phenomenal healing powers. You got this mate."It added: "He seems fine and acting normal but I can't help feel worried about him."People have since flocked to social media to wish Scarface a speedy recovery, as White said he "adores" the croc. One person said: "Oh no, sending his majesty all my best hugs."While another commented: "He's still smiling though, so that's a good sign.
