CHESTER, Pa. - Police in Chester County are investigating a shooting, officials say. Authorities say the shooting took place near the parking lot of Subaru Park, the home stadium of the Philadelphia Union, around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday. According to the Chester Police Chief, officers responded to the area of Front and Norris Streets for a report of a woman being shot in the hand. Responding officers arrived and saw a large crowd on scene, police say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESWhile treating the injured woman, officers received calls about more shooting victims showing up to a local hospital, officials say. Five juveniles and two adults were injured as a result of the shooting, according to police. One juvenile is in critical condition, while the rest are expected to physically recover, officials say.

PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A Camden County house fire that caused multiple injuries on Memorial Day is under investigation, officials say. According to authorities, Camden County firefighters responded to a fire on the 3000 block of Finlaw Avenue just after 5 a.m. on Monday. FOX 29's cameras captured significant damage to the property after flames tore through the property. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe Pennsauken Fire Department says responding crews arrived on scene and found heavy flames on the first and second floors. Firefighters responded to a home on Finlaw Avenue in Pennsuaken Township that was engulfed in flames and sent five people to the hospital, officials say.  Officials say a person was trapped in the basement of the property and firefighters were able to rescue them. Another victim jumped from a second-floor window to escape the flames, according to authorities. Fire officials say five people were transported to local hospitals, including two people in critical condition and three in stable condition. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials say. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - A shooting claimed the life of another teen as Memorial Day gun violence continued overnight in Philadelphia.Police say they found the 16-year-old boy on the 2400 block of Clarion street just after midnight Monday.He was shot one time in the head, and pronounced dead on scene by medics.

PHILADELPHIA - Three 15-year-old boys became the victims of another act of violence that also claimed the life of a man over the Memorial Day weekend.The quadruple shooting erupted on the 4500 block of Mulberry Street just before 9:30 p.m Sunday.All three 15-year-olds were shot several times, and transported to a local hospital.

PHILADELPHIA - A traffic stop quickly became a homicide investigation after a deadly discovery was made in Philadelphia's Kingessing section Sunday night.Police had pulled over a speeding car on 57th and Springfield streets when they found an unresponsive man in the back seat.The 20-year-old was suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder.As officers transferred the victim to their patrol car, police say the driver and passenger jumped back into the car and sped off, leaving the victim behind.MORE HEADLINES:Police then transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died just minutes later.

PHILADELPHIA - A North Philadelphia community is grappling with the loss of a recently-opened grocery store after a stolen car crashed into the building, police say. According to officials, the stolen vehicle crashed into the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market on N American Street early Sunday morning. Crews remove a stolen vehicle from the inside of a Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in North Philadelphia.  Philadelphia police say the driver of the stolen vehicle did get injured in the crash, but no additional information was released. FOX 29 was at the supermarket's grand opening in North Philadelphia in July 2022. The neighborhood was considered a food desert prior to the opening of the store, which provided residents with quality groceries nearby. The front entrance to the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in North Philadelphia is blocked off after a stolen vehicle crashed into the building.  MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe next closest grocery store is more than a mile away and is known for high prices, according to residents. The store owner says they are unsure how long it will be closed but hope to reopen as soon as possible.

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. - A large water main break in one Delaware county has prompted thousands of homes to be placed under a boil water advisory over the weekend.Emergency crews with Veolia have been working to repair the break near Darley Road in Claymont since Sunday morning.Approximately 2,000 customers are being affected by the break, and urged to boil their water until further notice.To check if you home is included, visit the Veoilia website.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J. - New Jersey State Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a man they say tried to abduct a 7-year-old boy in broad daylight Sunday.The boy was in a Wawa bathroom on Highway 47 in Cumberland County around noon when police say the suspect offered him candy to leave with him.After the boy said no, the man grabbed him by the arm and tried to abduct him, according to authorities. PHILADELPHIA - A 19-year-old woman ended up in the hospital after police say her boyfriend's firearm went off inside an apartment Sunday afternoon.The shooting happened on the 1400 block of 15th Street, which is located just blocks from Temple University campus in North Philadelphia. It is unclear if the apartment is student, or off-campus, housing.Police say the woman was shot in the lower body when her 22-year-old boyfriend was cleaning his gun, and it went off.MORE HEADLINES:She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition as her boyfriend was held for questioning, according to authorities.

SMYRNA DUNES PARK, Fla. - A Florida woman was arrested and charged after authorities said she nearly drove into families at a beach in Smyrna Dunes Park Saturday, narrowly missing parents and children. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office said Sarah Ramsammy, 26, of Orlando has been charged with DUI and reckless driving. Helicopter and bodycam footage released by authorities showed a blue vehicle parked in tire-high waterRamsammy was then seen n a green t-shirt standing beside a passenger who was also in the vehicle. DELAWARE - The stepfather of a 3-year-old girl whose burned remains were found on a softball field several years ago has pleaded guilty to child endangerment charges, according to court documents.Brandon Haas, 41, pleaded guilty in March to one felony count and three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. None of the offenses carries mandatory prison time, although the felony count carries a maximum sentence of five years behind bars.

decommissioned lighthouse, consider this a sign.Ten of the most picturesque lighthouses that dot the U.S.’s eastern coastline are being given away at no cost or sold at auction by the federal government.However, like most things, there’s a catch – and it’s a pretty big (and costly) one.The General Services Administration (GSA) is inviting federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational and community development agencies, or groups devoted to parks, recreation, culture, or historic preservation to apply to take over any of six historic lighthouses and their outbuildings available free of charge.However, anyone who assumes the role of lighthouse keeper for these storied buildings will be on the hook to pay for the upkeep and maintain them in keeping with federal and local requirements.They’ll also have to be made publicly available for educational, recreational or cultural purposes. It’s not the first time the GSA has dabbled in offloading its crop of historic beacons. The United States Coast Guard has slowly been eliminating lighthouses from government inventory for years, even since the development of GPS technology has rendered them largely obsolete.However, despite no longer being essential in protecting mariners from peril, lighthouses remain fascinating and romantic buildings that capture the interest of people all over the world.“People really appreciate the heroic role of the solitary lighthouse keeper,” John Kelly of the GSA’s office of real property disposition told The Associated Press, explaining their allure.

A 17-year-old boy who was reportedly stabbed outside a Philadelphia high school on Friday was driven to a nearby hospital by police. PHILADELPHIA - A teenage boy is recovering after police say he was stabbed outside a high school in West Philadelphia on Friday. Investigators say the 17-year-old was stabbed one time in the backside outside of Parkway West High School just after 2:30 p.m. The teen was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was placed in stable condition, according to police. Authorities have not said what caused the stabbing.

PHILADELPHIA - Emergency crews are responding to a large junkyard fire sending smoke into the air in Southwest Philadelphia. Multiple cars are reportedly on fire in the junkyard. SKYFOX flew over the junkyard on South 61st Street, where large flames from the 2-alarm blaze and explosions could be seen. The Philadelphia Fire Department has not released any official information on the size of the fire or the response from crews. Residents in the area have been urged to take precautions to avoid exposure to the smoke. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to the Philadelphia Health Department, people in the area should avoid going outdoors, avoid excessive activity, close all windows and doors to minimize indoor pollution and recirculate air with fans. The smoke from the flames may be especially troubling for children, the elderly, individuals who are pregnant and those with respiratory conditions. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a shooter and a person of interest in connection with a fatal shooting on a SEPTA bus in Philadelphia. The shooting took place on Wednesday night inside a bus on the 5200 block of Germantown Avenue, police say. According to investigators, a confrontation between the suspect and a young man broke out on the bus before shots were fired. MANTUA, N.J. - A police officer who fatally shot a homeowner who had called 911 to report intruders outside his southern New Jersey home has been indicted on a manslaughter charge.The count against Mantua Township Police Officer Salvatore Oldrati was handed up Tuesday by a state grand jury and was made public Wednesday night. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.The charge stems from the Sept. 14, 2021, death of Charles Sharp III, 49, who called 911 around 1:30 a.m.

Prosecutors are recommending a sentence of 50 years in prison on the murder charge, suspended for non-custodial supervision after 30 years behind bars.

PHILADELPHIA - A young man has been hospitalized after he was shot and found by officers in a vacant lot in Philadelphia, police say. According to authorities, just after 1 a.m.
