COLOMBO (News 1st) – Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says that State Ministers and Ministers will be appointed in the future under strict financial control.The Prime Minister visited Anuradhapura to engage in religious activities on Sunday (18).He further stated that a large cost is not incurred in the activities of Ministers, and himself as the Prime Minister.
However, he emphasized that State institutions cannot continue their functions without appointing relevant authorities to oversee them.However, they will be subject to strict financial control in the future, he said.
Moreover, the Prime Minister commented on the IMF staff level agreement with the Government, said that the proposal of the program is due to be presented before the IMF board in the near future.
