Gretchen Whitmer, her office said Saturday.The Wisconsin Department of Justice identified the man fatally shot as retired Wisconsin Judge John Roemer, 68.

The suspect, identified by the DOJ as 56-year-old Douglas Uhde, was discovered in the basement with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
