Mental health walk in memory of East Kilbride footballer nets hundreds for charity

Family and friends of East Kilbride footballer Kyle Livingston plan to continue the conversation around mental health after a successful fundraising walk to mark the fifth anniversary of his death.Locals joined Kyle's mum Carole Welsh and sisters Rachel Livingston Welsh and Kayla Welsh in a 'Walk 'n' Talk' mental health awareness event last Saturday and raised a whopping £1870 for charity.Funds from the 12-mile walk around East Kilbride to commemorate both Kyle's 29th birthday and anniversary will be split between men's mental health charity Keep the Heid and UP-2-US children and youth charity.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
