The 32-year-old mental health activist says they were terrified of catching Covid-19 and the suicidal thoughts they had experienced years earlier returned as their mental health worsened.
Even though John, who lives with multiple mental health conditions, had already launched a campaign for better awareness and services, called 'John and Charlie’s Journey', they said they were still planning to take their own life.
