PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments responded to a home in Philadelphia for a hazmat situation believed to be caused by drugs.

Authorities say around 2:35 a.m. on Friday, the fire department responded to a report of an unresponsive man in the basement of a property on the 4000 block of Teesdale Street.

Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, and the basement were covered in a white powdery substance. Medics pronounced the man dead on scene and police were called in, according to officials.

Fire and police officials held a press conference at the scene on Friday afternoon to provide an update on the investigation.

Reginald Maclaren was arrested and is facing a first-degree murder charge. He contacted the Englewood Police Department in Colorado to inform the agency that his wife and adult daughter were murdered. Maclaren told authorities he believed he knew the suspect and a hammer was used in the attack, according to a release from Englewood police. Officers arrived at the scene and found Maclaren inside the apartment. While in the home, police found two people in large trash cans on the floor of the living room/kitchen area.Police said both women had substantial injuries and had died. Englewood police noted during their investigation they determined Maclaren’s wife and daughter were murdered with the ax, and one victim was dismembered with a saw. The nonprofit organization Philly Rescue Angles made a public cry for help after the dog was found in December. "He has literally been laying his body down and the train has been going over him." Lucky's spinal cord injury left him unable to use his back legs and an influx of donations helped the organization fund surgery and rehabilitation. Trapped horse rescued after surviving below-freezing temps in snow

A horse became trapped in snow in Utah and had to be rescued. (Credit: McKay Wadley) PARK CITY, Utah - A horse had to be rescued in Utah after becoming trapped in the snow and enduring below-freezing temperatures. Park City Fire officials said they responded to the scene on Parkway Drive Monday morning. They believe a horse was pushed out of the barn by another horse and had sunk down deep in the snow. RELATED: Horse racing's national anti-doping program starts"The horse was unable to move and spent the night stuck in the snow," fire officials told FOX Television Stations in a statement. Crews had to dig a path, about 3o to 40 feet, through the snow to get from the barn to the horse's location.
