Marcella actress Anna Friel appeared on This Morning on Tuesday, as the third series of Marcella is set to debut, and revealed she and her daughter Gracie, 15, battled Covid late last year.

Anna, 44, told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby : "Everyone is finding this lockdown harder, as we expected it to be harder. "We both had Covid over Christmas, we spent it in bed," said the star, who shares her daughter with former partner David Thewlis. "It really helped having a brother on the frontline," she continued. "He gave me so much guidance, I had so much vitamin C that it came out of my ears.
