MANTUA - A 31-year-old man is dead and a second man is hospitalized after they were both shot on a Mantua street.Officials said 16th District officers responded to the 3500 block of Wallace Street Friday night, just before 7:30, on the report of a shooting, in Philadelphia’s Mantua neighborhood.Officers found a 52-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his foot, when they arrived.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment.Police found the 31-year-old man had been shot in the chest and the back of the head.

ATLANTIC CITY - Two men wanted on charges in the death of a man whose body was found along the Schuylkill River Trail were arrested Thursday. Cody Reed and Marquise Johnson, both 23, were taken into custody by federal authorities in Atlantic City. Officials say Johnson surrendered US Marshals after a five-hour barricade. Both men are accused of killing Daquan Tucker, of Audubon, whose body was found in March by a bicyclist in a wooded area about 100 feet from the trail down a steep embankment. Officials say all three men knew each other, and met at Reed's home before walking the trail where the shooting took place.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - A community in Delaware County is mourning the loss of a high school student, who died in a crash in Philadelphia, police say. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers notified investigators about the crash on Monday evening just before 9:45 p.m. Authorities say the crash occurred on the 5000 block of Fort Mifflin Road in Southwest Philadelphia. Officials say a 2004 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old was going north on Fort Mifflin Road. Two passengers were in the car, according to crash investigators. At the same time, a 2018 Ford Econoline Penske vehicle was going south on Fort Mifflin Road, per police. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to authorities, the driver of the Honda lost control, entered the southbound lane and struck the Penske vehicle head on. The teen driver of the Honda and the passenger in the front seat sustained serious injuries, officials say. The passenger in the back seat, later identified as 16-year-old Cole Gatti, was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where officials say he died Wednesday afternoon."It’s very hard," Cole’s mom, Jennifer Gatti, sighed.
