The man charged after urinating by murdered PC Keith Palmer's memorial has been labelled a "plonker" by his own dad. David Banks told The Sun that son Andy, 28, must have become desperate with all public toilets closed during protests in central London - but had not aimed at the memorial.
A photo of Banks in Parliament Square showing a line of urine running behind him has caused outrage due to the fact the memorial was for PC Palmer who was stabbed to death in the 2017 terror attack in Westminster.
Violence erupted over the weekend as a far-right demonstration took place after thousands of anti-racism protesters had marched on previous weekends sparked by the death of George Floyd in the US.
