MORRISVILLE, N.C. - A 23-year-old man died Friday afternoon after he jumped or fell out of a plane before it made an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina.Authorities said the pilot called air traffic control about an hour before making the emergency landing and said the plane had lost its right wheel."Emergency, we’ve lost our right wheel," the pilot told air traffic controllers. "We’d like to speak to Raleigh and make an emergency landing at Raleigh."The pilot pulled off the landing and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

His co-pilot, 23-year-old Charles Hew Crooks, either jumped or fell out of the plane without a parachute before it landed, WRAL reported.Hours later, his body was found 20 miles away behind a home in Fuquay-Varina.

A resident told police they heard something in their back yard.RELATED: Plane catches fire after landing at Miami International Airport; 3 injured"I believe this was a first for many of us that were working this incident today," said Wake County Emergency Management chief of operations Darshan Patel.According to WRAL, the 10-person plane is owned by  SPORE LTD LLC..

DALLAS - Testimony began Tuesday in the capital murder trial of a former fugitive on the FBI’s Most Wanted List.Yaser Said is accused of the murders of his teenage daughters in 2008. He was on the run from then until his ultimate capture in 2020.Said disappeared simultaneously with the girls' murders and eluded police and the FBI for 12 years before he was finally captured.Prosecutors say the evidence shows Said murdered them because, as a Muslim, they brought disgrace on his family because of their western lifestyle that included dating non-Muslim boys.The defense, in opening statements, pointed to police targeting him because he is Muslim in post-9/11 America. Through attorney Brad Lollar, Said on Tuesday entered a plea of not guilty.There were tears from Connie Moggio, the aunt to Amina and Sarah Said, as she was asked to identify an autopsy photo in contrast to pictures in of the girls shortly before they were murdered on January 1, 2008, in the back seat of a taxicab at an Irving hotel.MORE: Opening statements begin Tuesday for father accused of murdering two daughtersSaid is facing capital murder for his daughters’ deaths.In opening statements, the state told jurors Said wanted to control every facet of his family's life."This is a case about a man possessed with possession and control," said Dallas County Prosecutor Lauren Black.

The head of a snake popping out of a bag of popcorn inside a Virginia grocery store.  (Kimberly Slaughter)A Virginia woman's trip to the grocery store took an unexpected turn on Thursday when she was startled by a snake in her shopping cart. Kimberly Slaughter was inside a Shoppers Value store in Lunenburg County, Virginia when she saw what she believed to be mouse feces inside of her shopping cart, WTVR reported. "I was like, I'm not getting that bag," Slaughter told the news outlet.
