PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead after police say he was found shot nearly 10 times on a Philadelphia street Tuesday night. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 100 block of East Indiana Street just after 8 p.m.

TRENTON - Police in New Jersey's capitol say four people, including a teenager, suffered non-fatal injuries during a shooting Tuesday afternoon. Officers from the Trenton Police Department were called to the intersection of Academy and North Stockton streets just before 5 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - Police say a man is injured after a person, posing as a solicitor for a solar power company, carjacked him at gunpoint in Lower Merion Township on Monday.  At around 5 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Wilshire Road in the Penn Wynne section of Lower Merion Township for reports of an armed carjacking. Police say the victim encountered a suspect in his driveway when he arrived home in his vehicle. The suspect posed as a solicitor for solar power and made conversation with the victim before the victim declined the services and began walking away.

TAMPA, Fla. - A suspect wearing a devil mask was arrested after trying to go inside a popular Tampa strip club with a gun, Tampa police said.The Tampa Police Department said 44-year-old Michael Rudman was seen by a security guard walking toward the entrance of Mons Venus with a gun in one hand and a flashlight in the other Sunday morning. He was wearing a black devil mask and the words "kill" and "darkk one" were on his arms, Tampa police said. RELATED: Watch: Fleeing burglary suspect hits Sarasota police officer with car and takes offA security guard at the venue saw the gun and knocked it out of Rudman's hand, according to TPD.During the incident, one round from Rudman's gun was fired which hit the front door of the venue, police said. PHILADELPHIA - Temple University’s faculty-union said it will move forward with a vote of no-confidence in President Jason Wingard and two other school officials. The Temple Association of University Professionals (TAUP Local 4531) concluded its authorization to vote on Monday afternoon, according to a press release. The union said 84% of its over 900 members in the bargaining unit supported moving ahead with the vote of no confidence in senior leadership at Temple. 97% of those in support sought a no confidence vote in WIngard, while 86% sought a no confidence vote for Board of Trustees Chair Mitchell Morgan. Nearly 80% of those in support voted no-confidence in Provost Gregory Mandel, according to the union. The union's Executive Committee held an emergency meeting to discuss the results on Tuesday morning. A formal vote of no confidence is slate for the week of Apr.

Police say one man is critically injured after a daytime shooting in West Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that critically injured one man and wounded another in Southwest Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.Shortly after 1 p.m. police responded to the intersection of 54th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard for reports that two people had been shot. Responding officers say they located a 21-year-old man who had been shot seven times throughout his body.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia's law enforcement leaders are enlisting the help of the public to catch nearly a dozen murder suspects who have been roaming the streets of the city for years, some since 2019.District Attorney Larry Krasner released information on 10 fugitive currently wanted for homicides in Southwest Philadelphia during a press conference Tuesday:"Hopefully with the help of the PPD, our federal law enforcement, the sheriff's department, and all of you Philadelphia, we can give some kind of solace and justice to these families who are waiting for the person that killed their loved ones to be taken into custody," said Joanne Pescatore, Chief of Homicide at the DA's Office.Anyone with any information in connection to these homicides is asked to contact police.

Todd Merinuk, 27, of West Deptford, was arrested as part of an undercover child exploitation investigation.  MERCER COUNTY, N.J. - A New Jersey man is facing charges after he was arrested in an online child exploitation investigation. According to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, 27-year-old Todd Merinuk of West Deptford, New Jersey, was arrested as part of the investigation. Authorities say an undercover detective working with the prosecutor's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began chatting with Merinuk weeks ago. The detective was posing online as a 14-year-old girl, according to the prosecutor's office. Officials say Merinuk shared sexually explicit messages with the undercover officer, thinking it was a teenage girl, including a photo of male genitals. Authorities also say Merinuk arranged for an in-person meet-up with the girl to engage in sexual acts. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe prosecutor's office says on March 16, Merinuk sent a ride share to an address in Mercer County to pick up who he thought was the teenage girl, to transport her to Gloucester County. According to officials, Merinuk was taken into custody at his home without incident. He faces several charges, including attempted sexual assault, attempted endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted luring. 

SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. - Crews of first responders are on scene at two Cape May County beaches due to a report of beached dolphins. Authorities confirmed with FOX 29 that a total of eight dolphins are stranded, including six at the 52nd Street beach and two at the beach on 50th Street. Police and medics responded to pour water on the dolphins, according to officials. Crews of first responders are on scene at two beaches in Sea Isle City, where dolphins are stranded in the sand. NEW YORK - A New York grand jury investigating Donald Trump over a hush money payment to a porn star appears poised to complete its work soon as law enforcement officials make preparations for possible unrest in the event of an indictment.Trump over the weekend claimed without any evidence that he would be arrested on Tuesday, with his representatives later saying he was citing media reports and leaks. There was no indication that prediction would come true, though the grand jury appeared to take an important step forward by hearing Monday from a witness favorable to Trump, presumably so prosecutors could ensure the panel had a chance to consider any testimony that could be remotely seen as exculpatory.The next steps in a grand jury process shrouded in secrecy remained unclear, and it was uncertain if additional witnesses might be summoned.

The incident involved a woman who flew into Sky Harbor from another city.

PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvania State Police and dozens of local departments are joining forces to curb aggressive driving, which some say has gotten dangerously out of control. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that more than 80 departments from Buck, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties will join the Pennsylvania State Police in a "coordinated aggressive driving enforcement wave to help reduce the number of crashes, injuries and fatalities on area roadways."The plan will run through Apr. 23 and focus on distracted driving, speeding and work zone awareness, according to PennDOT.

(Aurora Police Department) AURORA, Colo. - A Colorado dentist was arrested Sunday following accusations he poisoned and killed his wife, according to police.James Toliver Craig, 45, had driven his wife, 43, to a hospital on Wednesday because she was complaining of severe headaches and dizziness, the Aurora Police Department wrote in a press release.Shortly after arriving at the hospital, his wife's condition rapidly deteriorated, and she was placed on a ventilator in an intensive care unit.

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. - A Pennsylvania State Trooper narrowly missed being hit by an oncoming car while on duty in Bucks County Monday morning.Police say the trooper's vehicle was rear-ended by a BMW on the eastbound side of Interstate 295 in Bristol Township just before 5 a.m.The patrol vehicle then hit the disabled vehicle, which started rolling towards the trooper, who was outside the vehicle at the time.MORE HEADLINES:To avoid being struck, the trooper had to jump over the concrete median, according to authorities.The trooper sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the BMW was transported to a local hospital for their injuries.Their condition is unknown at this time, and no charges have been announced.

PHILADELPHIA - What started as a passion for one Philadelphia woman, has given promise to dozens of girls in need of a loving, supportive home.Naima Powell has worked to change the lives of young people in Philadelphia for 20 years, and Saturday she unveiled her first center - a home for girls ages 10 to 17.The 3-bedroom house on Regent Street in Southwest Philadelphia will soon be home to six children whose families are unable to care for them.Powell, the found and director of Lighthouse Family Youth Agency, is determined to provide young girls with the comfort and security of knowing they are loved and supported. "Youth will come in through the welfare system, and our goal is to teach them and advocate with them to be the best versions of themselves," Powell said.She's been a foster mom for 20 years, providing a loving home for 15 years."My mom raised me since I was two months old after my biological mother wasn't really there for me, and built me into the person I am," said Divine Cannedy, Powell's daughter.As a social worker, Powell says her lifelong goal is to help children reach their full potential."Children between the ages of 10 to 17 need the guidance, need the support, they need people who are accepting of them," she said.
