LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price is facing corruption allegations, including using public money for medical benefits for a woman while he was married to someone else. On Tuesday, Price was charged with embezzlement, perjury and conflict of interest.According to a statement released by Los Angeles County DA George Gascón, Price allegedly pulled more than $33,000 in city money for medical benefits for his now-wife while he was married to another woman. In addition, Curren allegedly took a financial interest in projects that he voted on, Gascón said."This alleged conduct undermines the integrity of our government and erodes the public's trust in our elected officials," Gascón said in a press release Tuesday.

NEW YORK - A grand jury has indicted Daniel Penny for his role in the death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway train.The exact charges will remain sealed until his arraignment, but he was arrested on one count of second-degree manslaughter for the homeless man’s May 1 death. Penny, a 24-year-old U.S. Marine veteran, said that he felt compelled to act after Neely, who had a history of mental illness and violent incidents, allegedly verbally threatened other riders on an F train on May 1."The three main threats that he repeated over and over was: ‘I'm going to kill you; I'm prepared to go to jail for life; and I'm willing to die," Penny said.Penny approached Neely from behind, wrapped his arm around Neely's neck, and dragged him to the floor of the subway car, as other riders helped restrain Neely until he fell unconscious."I used this hold to restrain him and I did this by leaving my hand on top of his head to control his body.

PHILADELPHIA - Medical examiners in Philadelphia have confirmed the identity of a man who authorities say was behind the wheel of a gasoline tanker that crashed and exploded, causing part of I-95 to collapse.The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office said Nathan Moody died of blunt trauma to the head and inhalation and thermal injuries. The manner of death has been ruled an accident, officials said.Moody, 53, was previously identified by family members who described him as a hardworking father with more that 10-years of trucking experience. "He wanted to raise his girl to know what a good Dad was, to know what a hardworking Dad was," said Issac Moody.

PHILADELPHIA - Commuters in Philadelphia are adapting to new road closures and detours in the wake of the I-95 collapse that officials say will take months to repair. Some of the re-routed traffic, however, is being funneled onto tight streets in North Philadelphia that aren't equipped to handle the influx of traffic. A viewer photo given to FOX 29 News shows the aftermath of a tractor trailer coming down the tight confines of Westmoreland Street and tearing down a cable line. The traffic chaos has caused neighbors in Bridesburg to take matters into their own hands by placing cones and caution tape on the roadway to help direct traffic. "The people on the block here are trying to help people go the right way, because if they go all the way down towards Aramingo they may have to turn around and go towards traffic," Scott Simon said. "In order to keep them from going down that way, we have the cones which is forcing them to go the right way." Some of the road closures, according to neighbors, have caused drivers to become lost in unfamiliar parts of town which has raised safety concerns for residents with children. RELATED COVERAGE"It’s been really crazy because the street is never this busy, you got a lot of kids that live on this street," Joe Spada said.

Alabama’s Orange Beach were suddenly visited by a group of hammerhead sharks over the weekend. A video recorded by Meredith Perry on June 10, showed about five hammerhead sharks swimming uncomfortably close to boaters, even prompting a few people who were wading in the shallow waters to jump back onto their boats. Perry also managed to get a photo of her fiance, Paul Hubble, standing in the water, attempting to get a closer look at the sharks. "At first it was a ‘hurry and get kids safe, etc.,’ but then I realized they were hammerheads and thought it would be cool to see how close I could get," Hubble told FOX TV Stations. Hubble estimated there were about six total swimming around the boats that day and the sharks averaged about 6 to 8 feet long. Paul Hubble wading in the water as hammerhead sharks swim nearby. ARDMORE, Pa. - A man is dead after police say he was stabbed during a bar fight in Lower Merion over the weekend. Officers from the Lower Merion Police Department were called to the intersection of Cricket Avenue and Cricket Terrace early Saturday morning for reports of a stabbing. A 31-year-old man who police say was suffering from multiple stab wounds was taken to Lankenau Hospital where he died around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, the stabbing happened during an altercation at a nearby bar. No arrests were reported immediately following the deadly stabbing, but police say they have identified the people involved.

A Lanarkshire dad with no health problems has died aged just 44 leaving his heartbroken family completely devastated.

PHILADELPHIA - Surveillance video obtained by FOX 29 captured the moment a tanker truck carrying thousands of gallons of gasoline crashed on an exit ramp under I-95 in Philadelphia and burst into flames.The resulting fire eventually caused the northbound lanes of the heavily trafficked interstate to collapse, and the southbound lanes damaged beyond repair.The video shows the tanker truck getting off the exit ramp at Cottman Avenue and crashing as it navigated a left-hand curve that led it back under the highway.  State police say the truck overturned -rupturing the tank – and burst into flames.Officials say the truck was carrying 8,500 gallons of gasoline at the time of the crash. Family members shave since identified the driver of the truck as Nathaniel Moody.The 53-year-old was delivering the fuel to local gas stations in his personal truck while working for a company based in Pennsauken, according to family members.

BERKS COUNTY - What began as a fight at a house party, ended with a shooting involving three teenage boys over the weekend.A 15-year-old and 17-year-old were walking on Reading Avenue in Berks County when they were struck by bullets coming from a car that pulled up beside them.They were treated for gunshot wounds at a local hospital, but their conditions are not known.Police later identified a 14-year-old boy from Montgomery County as the shooter, according to the DA's office.MORE HEADLINES:The suspect told police that the shooting was in response to a physical fight at house party nearby.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a licensed gun owner shot and wounded a man who smashed her car window with a crowbar during a rush hour road rage confrontation in Philadelphia. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 2200 block of Market Street just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for repots of a shooting victim. Police found a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the groin and drove him to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition. Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that the shooting happened about eight blocks away during a road rage incident at the intersection of 30th and Chestnut streets. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESInvestigators believe that during the confrontation the man approached a 27-year-old woman's car and smashed her passenger's side window with a crowbar. The woman, who police say is licensed to carry a firearm, fired one shot from inside her car that struck the man in the groin.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia convenience store worker was shot over a struggle over a video game machine, police say. According to authorities, police responded to a shooting in a business in the area of 10th and Wagner in the Logan section of the city just after midnight on Wednesday. Police say officers arrived on scene and found a 53-year-old with a gunshot wound to the arm. Investigators say the man works inside the store doing various jobs for the business. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOfficials say customers were playing with the video game machine inside the convenience store when they got into a violent struggle with the worker. Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters the struggle lasted about a minute before a weapon was drawn and the worker was shot. The incident was captured on camera, police say. According to Small, the shooter fled the store after the shooting. The victim was transported to Einstein Hospital in stable condition, per police. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - A teenager has been hospitalized after being shot multiple times in the parking lot of a Philadelphia Wawa, police say. According to Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small, police responded to a report of gunshots on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue in the Port Richmond section of the city just before 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 15-year-old male who ran into Wawa after being shot, Small says. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to authorities, the teen was shot in the arm and torso but was conscious. The teen was taken to Temple Hospital, where he is in critical condition, officials say. Surveillance video shows what police believe to be shots fired at a vehicle parked in the parking lot, Small says. A 15-year-old was shot in the parking lot of a Wawa in the Port Richmond section of the city, police say.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a food delivery driver was gunned down while sitting inside his car after dropping off food to a property near Temple's North Philadelphia campus. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 1700 block of North Gratz Street for reports of multiple gunshot. Police found a 48-year-old man in the driver's seat of a white Honda suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

PHILADELPHIA - A woman is fighting for her life after police say she was found shot multiple times inside a West Philadelphia apartment Thusday night. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the Sylvania Gardens apartment building on the 400 block of South 48th Street around 7:30 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is fighting for his life after police say he was shot near an ATM machine in Philadelphia's Oxford Circle neighborhood. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 6500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard around 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Chief Inspector Scott Small reports the victim, a man, was near an ATM machine when someone shot him in the neck. He was taken to a nearby hospital where police say he is in critical condition. Investigators have not said what lead to the shooting.
